The best Cinderella Ballet I’ve seen so far. It has music by Louis Satchmo Armstrong, Jimmy Durante and a range of jazz standards which made this theatre’s repertoire gaining momentum from “an enlightenment” to real entertainment with audience willing to watch even standing for about 2 hours.

Going to the Astana Opera is always a great pleasure and an endless stream of positive emotions. Operas, ballets, gala concerts - everything is always held at the highest level.
The building itself is majestic and beautiful, both from the outside and from the inside. Thoughtful acoustics, the skill of the orchestra, choir, dance troupe and performers - everything works for complete immersion in the work.
I would like to express my gratitude for the widely presented national classics and screens with subtitles in Russian and English, thanks to which foreigners can join such pearls of Kazakh culture as "Kalkaman – Mamyr", "Kyz Zhibek", "Alpamys" and "Aisulu".

I am impressed by the scale and beauty of this place. The acoustics are amazing, and every sound is crystal clear. She enjoyed the wonderful ballet Scheherazade and the talent of the symphony orchestra musicians. I will definitely come back here again to plunge into this magical atmosphere again. I recommend all art lovers to visit this wonderful theater.

Театр «Астана Опера» произвел на меня сильное впечатление своим роскошным интерьером и великолепной акустикой, однако расположение мест на балконе оставило неприятные впечатления — сцена была практически не видна, и многие важные моменты спектакля остались вне поля зрения. The fascinating architectural design of the balconies in the auditorium. Interior decoration of the premises. Moldings and lighting in the form of chandeliers. All this creates a romantic atmosphere. I work in a concert hall myself, but we have everything modern: built-in lights, plasterboard ceilings... And this stucco makes an impression!

The pretentious and beautiful building of the new opera is designed in a pseudo-classical style (there is a lot of departure from classical proportions).
+ Ornate hall and hall.
+ Good visibility of the stage from any place (unlike the old buildings of the Bolshoi/ Mariinsky and others)
+ Good acoustics
+ The tiers of the auditorium are VERY similar to the Senate Hall from the 2nd and 3rd parts of Lukos's "Star Wars"
- a departure from the proportions of the task and therefore the building seems low and close to the ground
- windows and doors do not correspond to the proportion of the building and the feeling that you are in the "Tsigane Baroque" from some angles inside and outside
- a small repertoire and many days without performances... Which is strange to me. Take a look at the poster of the Mariinsky Theatre or the GABTA.
I listened to "Turandot" there - I left a pleasant feeling.

I often come here because it is always a magnificent sight. The theater itself is magnificent, comfortable chairs, modern, but in a national style, an exquisite interior, and always a delightful sight! The professionalism of the troupe is beyond praise, the costumes and scenery are luxurious, the performances are very impressive. In "Sylphide", the technical equipment of the performance was also amazing! It's just a must-visit, it's a real gem of the capital. The parking is huge, you can park without any problems.

I love going there. Nicely. The mood always rises. I've been to various events, concerts, and ballets. The staff is always amazing: polite, learned, patient, and just beautiful! Nice people also work in the wardrobe, they serve very quickly, like nowhere else.
The design of the hall, halls, and exhibition space is cool.

Astana is a new modern city, built literally in the last 20-25 years. The opera House is striking in its beauty and originality. Beautiful halls equipped with modern technological innovations. Gorgeous Italian frescoes, marble stairs, gold. At the same time, everything looks not pretentious, but decent. Unfortunately, I couldn't get to any performance, I went in the summer, but I went on excursions. The biggest surprise: that day I was the only person who bought a ticket for this tour. Imagine, the guide held this event for me, this one person. The tour lasted about an hour, everything was shown, told and photographed. I can't stop being surprised by the attitude in this amazing country

This is the most gorgeous theater in terms of its interior decoration that I have seen. And I've seen quite a few theaters in my life. Mega-spacious, all in marble and gilt with crystal. Beauty is all.
The girls working in it are all matched. Apparently, they are selected there as well as in the Kremlin regiment. 😅
In general, the theater left an unforgettable impression on itself.
I also really liked the performance of the Karaganda Theater's tour (Khanuma's Tricks).

The hall is beautiful, the impressions of the decoration are positive. But there is a fat, fat minus. Why mislead people - when selling tickets, indicate that the visibility of seats on the balcony is 80-95%?? What for?? As a result, visibility from the balconies is zero!!! Keep in mind and don't get fooled by this when buying tickets. Only the center seats.
And also, it is stated that the ballet "Scheherazade" is running for 1.5 hours, in fact 50 minutes ballet, then intermission and 30 minutes 5-7 minute numbers of the ballet group.
Mislead me. You can see from the video that the visibility is zero.

Recently, I had a chance to visit the Astana Opera Theater in the capital of Kazakhstan. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of organization and the quality of the presentation. The theater impresses with its beauty and grandeur. The interior is designed in a classic style with elements of national flavor.
The performance we watched was just great. The actors played their roles with great skill and professionalism. The music was amazing, and the sets and costumes were just great.
The service in the theater was also excellent. The waiters were polite and attentive to each guest. The ticket prices were quite reasonable, given the quality of the performance.
I recommend the Astana Opera Theater to everyone who appreciates art and wants to get real pleasure from visiting the theater.

It's just legendary and the sound and surroundings are all fine, there are subtitles in English and Russian. I definitely recommend it to all guests of the city. Of the disadvantages, only a very low number of stocks in the bar / cafe. Champagne and sandwiches are disassembled in 2 minutes, there is no replenishment.

The diverse repertoire, the highest performance of actors and musicians, the courteous staff of the theater are all the face of any country and city. One minus, this is a question for visitors: we must not forget that the theater is a classic temple of art and you need to dress appropriately, not jeans and a T-shirt.
