The museum is interesting, but I still haven't figured out the audio guide. I was able to find very few recorded messages, although more are positioned. I don't know if the problem is with them or with me) in general, I do not advise you to take it
The museum is amazing. Some of the exhibits are unique. Be sure to use the audio guide. It is not of the best quality both in terms of technical characteristics and completeness of information. But without it, it's hard to define “highlights”

A very interesting museum. It is difficult to understand only the audio guide in the application. Not all exhibits have numbers
Beautiful antique statues, sarcophagi, coins, fragments of facades. It is five times smaller than the Hermitage in size. The time limit is 1-2 hours of careful examination.
When you come to Istanbul, you expect to see the legacy of the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. However, the collection of the archaeological museum allows you to get acquainted with the culture of various peoples from all over the world. An absolutely stunning exhibition representing the art of working with stone, it is impossible to believe how much time and painstaking work have been invested in these works. The vast territory of the museum and several thematic zones provide an opportunity to consciously get acquainted with the art of the past. I recommend for a mandatory visit, it is convenient to enter the museum using a pre-purchased museum card.
In the city of Istanbul (actually Constantinople) there is the Archaeological Museum of Istanbul (actually the Sarcophagus Museum), and in this museum, among other exhibits, there is the sarcophagus of Alexander the Great (actually Abdolanim)
In Istanbul, this museum is worth visiting first of all - everything is real here! Yes, the Turks understand the historical value in their own way, but a lot of very unique things negate this.
BE sure to visit the additional building - this is a huge building with a very wide exposition.
Also look into places where access is not allowed;)
The museum is small, mostly tombstones and sarcophagi are on display. The second floor was closed. The audio guide is generally useless . In general, the museum is not worth attention.
