Bad experience. We arrived there, we are tourists so OBVIOUSLY we don't know how it works, we ask for tickets and the "smart guy" with few hair and glasses at the reception asked us if we have reservation, we say we don't have and we didn't know we needed it and he says "well no reservation no enter" and "now you know!" with a very aggressive and "smart" tone, as if we as tourists should know everything about your museum as if it's some holy place. It would have been fine if he said that with a normal tone and not trying to be the smart guy. Then the guy realised he wasn't being funny and he said something "I'm just joking, here is how you can book it" but at that point we didn't care anymore. Learn how to treat tourists otherwise your country will never attract more

I recommend visiting the Ararat Brandy Factory Museum. The tour is very interesting, our guide conducted it in one breath, it is immediately clear that she is in love with her business. The price is 4500 AMD, which is about 1200 rubles. At the end of the tour, there is a tasting of three and seven-year-old cognac.
Apart from the museum, nothing else is shown, I would like to visit at least the bottling and packaging line.

The guide is pleasant, sociable, devoted to many subtleties of cognac production and drinking. The exposition is decent. The staff is polite.
The prices of cognacs in the factory store are lower than in other places in Yerevan.

I liked the tour, but there are certain nuances: 1. they are not allowed to shoot, whereas in other distilleries (Armenia and Georgia) they treat it positively and ask to post videos on youtube. 2. The schedule of excursions is disgusting. Believe me, after a little preparation, I would have told everything myself as well as the guide and would not have been tired at all - I mean, you can tell everything to a group of 2 people at a convenient time for them, even your mouth will not dry out. The exposition is weak, the Noah plant has put more effort into the exhibits and atmosphere, but they allow offensive criticism of the Ararat plant, which is not worth doing.

You can sign up for a tour online, and pay in fact at the museum's ticket office.
The tours themselves start from 4500 AMD! I'm not such a connoisseur of alcohol to pay that kind of money for an hour of sightseeing. It was disappointing that the entrance to the museum is only part of the tour.

I attended a tasting tour for 10,000 drams (3 cognacs - 10, 15 and 20 years of aging). It was the best choice for me (I booked it on the website in advance). The guide's story is interesting, informative, with a love for winemaking and Armenia. The guests are not taken to the production, but the story is interesting, the tasting is unhurried and competent. There are many opportunities for beautiful photos. They allow you to take photos for free without a flash, and it is forbidden to shoot videos. It's worth buying cognac at the museum! It's really cheaper than in the store (I compared it with the prices of Parma and SASA that evening).

The location is good, the room was very large, but the furniture is old, plumbing from the beginning of 2000. It's fine to spend the night, you shouldn't count on more.
