I had the opportunity to dine at the stunning and historic 1924 Istanbul, and what an unforgettable feast it was. Every single bite was bursting with flavor and soul. We started with their incredible cocktails, one infused with rosemary and rose, which was unlike anything I’ve tasted in all my travels. Not only were they delicious, but truly beautiful to look at. I also tried a cocktail made with beetroot that had the most delightful kick of zest, a real standout. Their infused vodkas were another highlight, with the salmon vodka in particular being a surprising and exceptional experience. Moving on to the appetizers and mains, I had the salmon and sea bass, and all I can say is wow. Perfectly cooked & richly seasoned. And the desserts? Easily among the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. Sweet, balanced, and the perfect end to a luxurious meal. But what truly sets 1924 Istanbul apart is its personality. From the moment you step in, you’re surrounded by history and warmth. The 1940s inspired décor, antique woodwork, and historic photographs transport you to another era. It’s not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. The service was impeccable, thoughtful, and kind. If you’re ever in Istanbul, 1924 is a must visit. You won’t just enjoy a meal, you’ll create a memory for a lifetime.

The opening of another trip and Istanbul is this restaurant! It makes you shudder - the interiors and the atmosphere of the time of white emigration ... you can look at photos and interior items for a long time. An aesthetic pleasure for a Russian person! And the food is very tasty. I ate borscht - fire in general! Dumplings are normal. Dessert Pashka is wonderful))) Thank you, I heartily recommend the place! (Borscht. Dumplings and dessert, plus a compliment in the form of pickles and bread and butter - about 1000 lira, something like 3000 rubles).

Russian Russian cuisine This restaurant positions itself as an institution of the first wave of emigrants from Russia at the beginning of the twentieth century, there is a historical menu with "Russian dishes" - they are all absolutely terribly cooked and rather represent a parody of Russian dishes. But the most important thing is that it's absolutely not delicious!!! And to top it off, the salmon steak (which could be even simpler) was just raw inside (not just barely cooked, but straight raw and cold). In general, a fiasco!

A separate story about this institution! There are no Russian speakers at all, the waiters are like sentries, there is no light at all, candles sadden this place. The menu is generally terrible, they bring like,, treats,, set the table, BUT then they charge so much money for this treat, huge. The plates are dirty, the forks are the same. The prices are huge. The food is not delicious. Of course, I expected the best for that kind of money. I don't recommend it.

I would like to warn everyone who knows the taste of Russian cuisine, you will be very disappointed! The names on the menu are Russian, the food doesn't look like it! But it's also not delicious! My company of 5 people and I did not finish a single dish. Herring under a fur coat, olivier, khinkali, Kiev cutlets, all this for two. I'll give you two stars because the harmonica player brightened up the evening!

I really liked the atmosphere of the early 20th century. but! Sorry, this can't be called Russian cuisine. They ordered borscht, olivier, herring under a fur coat and tinctures. Tinctures and borscht are edible. But salads are something sad. Please fix the kitchen. And it will be a stunningly atmospheric place where you will want to return to dilute the local culinary delights with familiar cuisine.

We had dinner today in 1924. The kitchen was very disappointing. Olivier salad and herring under a fur coat taste terrible, vinegar ingredients and the wrong recipe. The borscht was not bad, it tasted good. I didn't like beef Stroganoff, especially the mashed potatoes with a rancid taste, the meat is undigested, the sauce is sour. The honey cake was another disappointment, the taste is absolutely not Russian, the cakes are not honey, soaked in kaymak, it's tasteless. They paid 80 euros for dinner for two, they charged a lot for the service, about 15 euros, which is a lot. I do not recommend the restaurant.

I agree with the first review! The wallpaper in the men's room has not been glued yet!😹 And the kitchen is off the hook ( We took eggplant rolls. Eggplants are made on the grill dry, cold and tasteless themselves. Nobody finished the Kiev cutlet. - it's dry too. The liver is so-so. I liked only the pickles, which were served as a compliment. Maybe there wasn't enough vodka?😹

The dark oppressive gloomy atmosphere of the early 20th century was a success (if that was what they wanted to achieve). Atmospheric, flashing light bulbs, candles, stripped wallpaper in the toilet, large mirrors on the walls. The food is mediocre. It's not really a delight, but it's just bad. The kebab is strange, salty. My wife ordered beef stroganoff, said it was very tough meat. For some reason, tea was brought immediately before all the dishes, it certainly cooled down for dessert. We cooked everything for a very long time, 30-40 minutes. Even the honey cake managed to spoil. The musician played the accordion. On the one hand, it seemed nice and in the spirit of the institution, but it was very loud (it was impossible to talk to each other) and in the end he started selling his CDs, which is generally beyond the limit. And there are no napkins on the table. In short, inclusion in the Michelin guide is a big mystery. Russian Russian cuisine was expected to be unusual, but it is generally a disgrace to Russian cuisine. I do not recommend Restick.

The restaurant is a bomb! In the Russian style, I haven't eaten so delicious yet, I don't understand the negative feedback, beef stroganoff, dumplings are perfect! And the tincture is mmm, chic, we went twice in five days in Istanbul, and we will come again

It's downright disgusting. The fish was waited for 40 minutes. They brought the raw one. We waited even longer for everything else. I didn't like any of the dishes on the menu.

A good place for those who are willing to spend money for the occasion. The place is historical, pretentious. It's like I flew back 100 years in a time machine. Tablecloths, expensive dishes, friendly waiters. You can go in for a bite of borscht with liqueur. Otherwise, the prices for dinner are very high...

Great! Very atmospheric! If you are tired of the local food, then here you are! This place has a big, vivid history and that's why it's interesting. But after trying salted tomatoes, you feel like you came to your grandmother as a child. )) That's how our family prepares them. And cucumbers are strange. There are different liqueurs. But without frills. Ordinary and expensive. In Moscow, thoroughbred scotch is poured for such money.
