Nice neat little airport! I actually slept overnight at the airport after a late night flight and didn't want to waste time at the local hostel! A little uncomfortable as it's all just metal chairs, so remember to bring a neck pillow and a coat. The airport has the usual souvenir shops and the first bus out to the city is 0820hrs.

A place for education on amber. Entrance fee is 500rub for adults. All writings in Russian. It's situated by the river, so it's a nice place to take a walk too.

Nice place. The museum is 300rub per entry and has about 3 or 4 levels. As ever, all are in Russian, so you won't understand much unless you do. If you have bad knees, give it a pass- the circular stairs are quite steep. Bring some cash if you want to buy souvenirs cos some of the shops outside only accepts cash or transfers to their personal bank account. Still a great place to go - the place is in a park and surrounded by rivers, so it's a nice walk nonetheless.

Not bad. It's a bunker with a series of rooms with diorammas on the various battles leading to the victory of Konigsberg in WW2. 500rub per entrance. There are some descriptions in English, but still mostly in Russian. It's walkable from Konigsberg cathedral and just a short distance from "lower pond", which is a nice walk if the weather permits.

2900 rub for the entry with a free ice cream- you can spend the whole day if you want. The view is pretty good, fun to spot where kremlin is and the 7 sisters. There's a restaurant up there as well.

Haha! I was here with Singapore friends - the noodles are quite close to home and the dim sum not too shabby at all. The chef is Russian - so I'm not sure how the name came about! Suggest informing them to cut back a bit on the salt if you're concerned. Considering this is close to city center, prices are not that expensive either.

Nice little ramen shop. Reasonable pricing. Nothing particular tasty, but will do for asian food. Add 26apr26- I should say that I'm Asian, so there's a built in bias when eating asian food like ramen. I would think it's quite okay for asian food in Europe.

Used to stay more often at SAFMAR grand, which was great - but decided to try a change as SAFMAR Tverskaya is a bit cheaper. Pleased to say that both are great 👍 The normal twin room at SAFMAR Tverskaya is smaller than Safmar grand, but it's nothing to really complain. Breakfast is also a bit smaller than Safmar grand, but the spread is the same. SAFMAR Tverskaya is close to Belaruskaya metro/rail, so transport is not a problem. Added plus if you're taking aero express to SVO airport. Both Safmar Tverskaya and Safmar Grand are quite close to Moscow center, so the main attractions are all within metro distance.

19 stories down and up. No elevator. I took the cold war tour - 4500rub for about 1.5hrs. quite expensive. Nothing was in English though, so I couldn't understand a word. However, the Russians were clapping quite a bit at the end- so I guess the tour was quite informative.
