A lovely budget hotel twenty seconds from the ocean. Cozy, lots of greenery, small pool. The rooms have everything you need. We had 2 balconies: to dry on the small one, and to sit on the big one. Next to the rooms there are relaxation areas (a sink table, armchairs and a small table) covered with plaits so that you cannot be seen. The breakfasts are monotonous: tea, coffee, water, smoothies, 2 eggs, something meaty, 3 toasts, butter, jam. Cafes are nearby, shops are a couple of minutes away, the main street is 10 minutes away, and turtle beach is 30 minutes away. The beach is comfortable, the waves are not strong, ideal for swimming. Bottom line: the hotel is not fancy, but clean and quiet. The price and location are the main trump cards.

A lovely hotel just a minute's walk from the Blue Flag beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they will always come to the rescue: cut exotic fruits, wake up for the transfer, give a knife... The breakfasts are not very varied, but after talking with the guests of other hotels in Sri Lanka, we realized that our breakfasts are still at a high level! The menu changed a little, but every day there was a fresh smoothie, if tea, then they brought a whole kettle, if coffee - a whole pot of coffee and a milk jug for one. A separate meal was prepared for my vegan husband at his request. There is a swimming pool, cleaned every day, and lounge areas. Our room was on the ground floor closest to the pool. The bathroom is serviceable, air conditioning, fan too. TB, soap and towels are available, but you can top up and order cleaning on request. No extra charges, no tips, just leave a sign on the door. The room has a small refrigerator, a large comfortable bed. Towels cannot be taken out of the hotel (at least openly), they are asked to leave them in the room if they notice, but this was not a problem for us. The territory is small, but picturesque: greenery, flowers, a statue of the Indian god Hanuman. There is a shower outside in order to rinse the sand before entering the room. Near the hotel there is a supermarket, souvenir shops, currency exchange, a rotary (national pies), a fruit shop, an Ayurvedic salon, a museum-gallery of shells, tuk-tuk parking lots and a bus stop. There is a beach with turtles and a Buddhist temple within walking distance. Right in front of the hotel there are several excellent cafes with delicious food and good prices, there is a kalyan. Having bought at least one item from the menu, you can use their umbrellas and sun beds all day. We REALLY enjoyed our stay in Unawatuna thanks in large part to the chosen hotel!
