The Vileisk-Minsk system, designed to solve the problem of providing Minsk with water, stretches for 62 kilometers from the Vileisk reservoir to Zaslavsky. Overcoming hilly terrain with the help of pumping stations, for 50 kilometers the water gradually rises to a height of 71 meters relative to the water level in the Vileisk reservoir. Somewhere in the Vyazynka area, the terrain is changing, and water is already flowing freely through the canal towards Minsk. She doesn't need pumps here. On the contrary, a means is needed that can slow down the flow that has gained speed. High-speed streams can handle this task.
