Here is a photo of Lukla Airport, where trekkers arrive to climb Mount Everest Base Camp and peaks. We were leaving here because it was closed due to the weather and we were traveling 300 km by car. Don't drive a car, if possible, take a seat in a helicopter to Namche, and climb up from there: the seat costs 250 dollars, and the car costs 150, but it travels for two days, 85 km of them along the mudflow channel, very slowly and shaking. Although the experience is certainly interesting. Lukla herself turned out to be not so scary: we boarded a plane and flew away, yes, the mountains are very (very!) close, it's probably dangerous, but I don't think we were afraid of anything anymore
