I am currently staying at a hotel, booked through a tour operator for 5 days during the winter holidays, a junior suite.upon arrival, we got the room right away , on the 2nd floor , it was really very cold .despite the fact that we were immediately given a heater , the air conditioner is weak.due to the blackout, it was impossible to heat the room for the first 1.5 days . we were offered to change the room, but what's the point if there's no light anywhere!but thank God, the electricity was somehow sorted out and the room got hot, which was opened for airing. That's why I didn't take off the stars because of the light interruptions. Otherwise, the staff is kind, ready to help ,the room is bright, spacious , 2 balconies ,TV -many channels.,kettle,cups,,newly renovated , comfortable bed There is a heated pool in the courtyard, but due to the rain and cold weather, no one was swimming. I went to the indoor pool at the Nart Hotel. That's why we used the barbecue area. There was no transfer, we used a taxi. 1,500 to the border , 300 in the city The hotel is located a little away from the main road , it takes 5 minutes to walk along a not very good road In conclusion, I can recommend this hotel, but if you are not used to Turkey 5* For such tourists, there are neighboring hotels on the first coast, such as Amra, Napt , , Abaata I have earlier reviews of these hotels on my page. From September 8-12, 2025, we visited Abkhazia and chose the Villa Leona Hotel. If you decide to stay in Staraya Gagra, book this hotel, you will definitely not regret it. The hotel is wonderful! the rooms are perfectly clean, there is everything necessary for life, there is a small but clean pool, there is a cafe. The food was included in the price, everything was delicious and varied, everything was always fresh. I would like to note that the dishes and appliances are always clean. You can safely travel with children and not be afraid of rotavirus infection. And most importantly, of course, the very friendly owners of the hotel Ruslan and Zhenya. It was so comfortable to relax, as if we were visiting close relatives. Yes, in principle, all the staff is always in a good mood and smiling, ready to sincerely help with any question! There is an equipped beach with very decent sun beds and umbrellas, which stand out well at the level of neighboring ones in terms of quality (I am generally silent about the equipment of Gagripsha beach, but the price per room is generally appropriate there). The food is certainly not Swedish, but everything is delicious and decent, the chefs are trying their best, thank them very much too! Our room was the simplest, in general, the expectation in the photo coincided with reality. For the hotel administration, I want to say that the guests see your efforts to keep everything in good condition - a well-maintained swimming pool, good sun beds and umbrellas, and even a marble tile in the outdoor toilet, not a 91-year-old boar)))) It's just that it's often not obvious to many "businessmen" and they treat such nuances according to the principle "it will do." But here you can still feel the hand of the owner. In general, it seems like it would be possible to put a low price even for Abkhazia (by the way, we always live in Sochi in the Actor Galaxy residential complex, in modern apartments with excellent repairs, a coffee machine in the room, a dishwasher and other pleasant options, and we pay 8 per day for this happiness this year), BUT... as they say, if you don't want to take it, go to the neighboring Gagripsh for 3 per day, but the conditions will be appropriate. Well, who needs a higher level - welcome to Amru. In general, thanks to Villa Leon. And overall, Staraya Gagra has been getting better and better lately. About 10 years ago, it was a real ruin, but now in places the beach can be confused with Cuba - the Abkhazians, along with Russian guys, open modern bars and cafes with excellent design, pleasant chill zones on the beach. You can drink really good coffee or cocktails there, and not just incomprehensible swill, as it used to be. But the price is also appropriate. The beach itself is very clean, although that year it was sand dunes with reinforcement. This one was put in order. Well, it's not even worth talking about nature at all - it's incomparable. What the main park and the park at the Amra Hotel are worth. In general, staraya Gagra is for those who are tired of endless restaurants / elevators / turnstiles / cars / hangouts / brands / silicone women and just want a great sea, gorgeous nature, peace, privacy, but at the same time with elements of normal civilization.
