At the mouth of the river. Below its confluence, on the right bank of the Irtysh River, stands the Ubinsky village settlement. This is a small, hundred and fifty yards, neat and rather slender village, located on a low but flat plateau, protected from the Irtysh River by a huge and tall poplar grove, against which the village's church stands out in relief. The streets are straight, the houses are mostly wooden, thatched, with clean fences and very neat rooms, in which, in almost every room, you will see: clean self-woven rugs, an old-fashioned china cabinet with a chest of drawers, a large simple mirror, a neatly arranged rustic bed with high-fluffed pillows, a feather bed and a colored bedspread. Russian Russian wars and fairy tales on the walls are smoothly whitewashed or papered with antique wooden heavy chairs and sofas with curved and thick legs, and on the walls, in addition to icons and colorful splints from the series of Russian wars and Russian fairy tales, you will certainly see portraits of some commanders and commanders, among whom preference is given to Linevich, Skobelev, Kuropotkin, Stessel. Mishchenko and other heroes of historical wars. In addition, under the mirror itself, there are necessarily several photographs depicting two and three young Cossacks, in extremely relaxed poses, with swords drawn, with cigarettes lit and in boots with high ribbed tops. The male Cossacks are distinguished by a decent amount of practical intelligence, dexterity in horsemanship and a love of military exploits, but they are all extremely sluggish in the affairs of their household. Agriculture has recently been practiced by everyone without exception, and almost all the heavy work is performed by the steppe Kyrgyz, who are in perpetual and non-permanent debt to the Ubin Cossacks. author Georgy Dmitrievich Grebenshchikov, 1910.
