It's a very cool place. Delicious food and location, the portions are very large, the delivery is fast (with full boarding, there is always a LIVELY queue, but it's worth it). Children are very selective about restaurant food (they don't eat anything but potatoes), and here they ground a salad (by the way, it's very tasty with chicken breast, and potato slices and pieces of chicken fillet, mushrooms and a delicious dressing, chicken breast on the grill with baked potatoes went hot, but the portions are just huge, they only overcame half). And if you are very hungry, then the rib soup will do its job and satisfy your hunger for one or two (rich broth and lots of chunky meat, it resembles a shurpa). A separate story is kvass (3 turns.alk), just a taste of childhood from a YELLOW barrel. We are very satisfied with both the service and the food.

We recently visited the "Tavern by the Lake" in the central park of Brest — and it was just a fire! The cuisine is excellent: all the dishes are fresh, delicious, hearty portions of Slavic and Belarusian cuisine. The service is fast and attentive — the waiters are efficient, without delay.The place is cozy, overlooking the lake, ideal for a family dinner or relaxing after a walk in the park. The atmosphere is colorful, like in a real tavern. I definitely recommend it, we'll come back again. Visited in January 2026.

After a series of Soviet department "cafes" and "canteens", this establishment has become an oasis for the soul of an aesthete and gastronomic research The spirit of those times in all its details: samovars, national costumes, fireplace, background music, "elbow vodka" (a set of shots with liqueurs and tinctures) - I have not met a more authentic place in my entire journey through Belarus. Special thanks to the waitress and the chef - the halibut was truly divine (without exaggeration)!!! I can't convey all the emotions! Come and see for yourself! I recommend for those who wish to taste the national cuisine and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Slavic culture of the XIX -XX centuries.

Для меня самый любимый ресторан в Бресте. Во-первых великолепная локация на озере и потрясающий колоритный белорусский интерьер. Кухня тоже выше всяких похвал, большие порции. Ужинали практически каждый вечер там. Галушки трактира навсегда а моём сердце. Хочу отметить, что цены ниже, чем в заведениях центральной части Бреста. Большой компанией здОрово брать самовар со сладостями. Подача достаточно быстрая, официанты всегда очень вежливые и отзывчивые, подскажут блюдо на любой вкус. В следующий приезд обязательно первым делом пойдём на ужин именно туда. Но перед визитом рекомендую всё же заранее бронировать столик, так как посетителей всегда много. И чуть не забыла ещё одну фишечку трактира - старинные русские романсы, что придаёт ужину своё очарование.

We visited this establishment with a group of 4 people on the recommendation of our guide and were very satisfied. The first thing that caught my eye was the location. The inn is located in the park of culture and recreation, on the shore of a small but picturesque lake. The cozy interior in the old national style complemented the impression. But the final delight came when the order arrived. All the ordered dishes turned out to be very tasty, and the cherry on the cake was branded tinctures. The staff adds warmth to this place. I've been to dozens of establishments in Belarus, and I'll tell you the truth - this is the only place where there is a good level of service (not excellent). Very decent service: polite and friendly staff, who clarifies the quality of the dishes (whether the guest is satisfied, whether they liked everything), can tell you from the menu (although not all waiters, but in general 90% of the questions have been worked out). I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that this is not a restaurant of Belarusian cuisine, they have many directions. I recommend trying the tinctures - they're just great. View of the pond, cleanliness outside and inside. One of the best places in Brest. And yes: they have some of the most delicious shingles. Top 3 in Belarus, as for me.

In my opinion, this is the most cozy and wonderful place to spend a wonderful evening both in a calm atmosphere and in a noisy company! Located in the huge old park of Brest, the tavern by the lake is more than 100 years old! I especially liked it: pleasant and friendly staff, you can book a table by phone. It is thematically decorated from the outside and inside, and the cheerful music of the 20s - 30s of the twentieth century sounds. The inn has a large wardrobe at the entrance, two toilets for each gender, indicated by women's shoes and, accordingly, men's boots above the doors. Next is a cozy room with a bar counter decorated in a more modern style without windows, from it there is an entrance to the next room, with large windows overlooking the lake, in the middle there is a huge extractor hood and logs are burning under it, adding warmth and a pleasant crackle of fire. The hall is decorated with antique samovars, irons, and various objects from the countryside of the twentieth century. I would also like to mention the availability of my own tinctures (I recommend it), as well as very tasty cooked dishes, a variety of which fit into a stylish menu. Combined with educational tours of the city and the fortress, this place will be a wonderful end to the day! Well done! I RECOMMEND IT!

The boarding was full, but they found a place for us, warning us that the table needed to be vacated by a certain time. We had more than enough time. The service is fast. The food is delicious!!! The staff is friendly. The restaurant itself is in a folk style, very cozy. View from the window to the lake. Mashed potatoes with cheeks, the mashed potatoes themselves are acceptable, almost without lumps, the meat is boiled, tasteless, lack of spices, definitely what kind of meat it is not clear. And the most terrible dish is shingles! The potatoes were not grated so that they were straws, but apparently twisted in a meat grinder, the result is some kind of potato fritters, yes, edible, but these are not shingles. Prices for that quality of canteen dishes are greatly overstated. And yes, do not take mors, it is a syrup with a distant taste of berries, diluted with water in half. I do not recommend the restaurant!
