Tobol Roadside Cafe The dishes seem to have been assembled from a battlefield: plates with cracks, glasses with chipped edges, apparently, the "trick" of the institution. Food is a separate attraction. The mashed potatoes taste sour, as if they were cooked a week ago, the cutlet is all black, cooked in butter that has been cooked 1000 times and suspiciously cold inside, and the "fresh" salad looks more like a herbarium of withered leaves. The staff is a chaotic procession of lost souls. Waitresses confuse orders, the cook grumbles to himself, and the receptionist (if there is one at all) unsuccessfully tries to figure out who is responsible for what. They follow each other around in a circle, as if in some kind of absurd ritual, but this does not speed up the meal. The only thing that works properly here is the cash register, which withdraws money for this "unique" gastronomic experience with the precision of a jeweler.
