Looking for a place for a traditional Baku breakfast is a responsible matter, because it is not just a meal, but a real ritual. And the restaurant "The Gallery" in Baku coped with this task 100%! The main thing here is the atmosphere and the presentation. We were offered the very famous format that the guests of Baku appreciate so much: a lot of small plates, from which the table is bursting. It's like art, with so many colors, textures, and flavors on one table. The set included everything you need for a proper morning: the freshest tandoor bread — crispy, hot, you could eat it endlessly. Cheese and herbs tasting. Homemade sour cream with honey and jam is something incredible. The most delicate kaymak, which you want to spread a thick layer on a freshly baked flatbread. Shakshuka with local spices is satisfying and very authentic. And, of course, tea — in traditional glasses-armudu with thyme. You can drink it endlessly. I was especially pleased with the attention to detail. The waiters are attentive, almost all speak Russian. The menu is also available in Russian. Tip: come hungry and don't take anything separately — take a comprehensive "Baku breakfast". This set of many bowls and bowls is enough to eat before lunch (and make a beautiful photo for Instagram). Breakfast at this restaurant is the best start to the day in the capital of Azerbaijan. After such a breakfast, you understand why the locals are so sensitive to their morning table.
