We found ourselves at the hotel late in the evening , filled with impressions, tired and photographing the situation, honestly had no desire .. in the morning, a camel ride through the Sahara , I wanted to gain strength 🐫🐪 I liked the hotel, even very much, especially the pool in the middle of the enclosed courtyard.... It's hard to get such feelings in ordinary life... you're in the water, in the cool, with a very dark and stunningly starry Sahara sky above you, a cold glass of refreshing drink in your hand, and bats swooping down next to you every ten minutes to take a sip of pool water.... the thought flashed by I wonder if I should offer them a coke , but I don't think they would agree .... Very warm atmosphere , pleasant staff and delicious food .... We had a great night 's sleep and let 's move on to new discoveries . 👌🏻

There are no questions about food and rooms in general, everything is fine (a lot of spicy food- but everyone tastes it). Get ready right away- the brazen sellers and service are trying to at least "extort" something from you or impose it. The souvenirs are all old, dusty, and generally so-so. The pool is beautiful, but there is a lot of bleach (as well as those who want to swim). The price tag for water and drinks is not humane, but since we were passing through there purely because of camel rides, it is tolerable. He'll do it once, but he probably won't want to go there a second time.

We stayed at Sun Palm Douz for one night as part of a two-day tour of the Sahara. We used it as a transshipment base, and it fits perfectly for this purpose.Advantages of the hotel:The territory and lobby: A very pleasant first impression. A beautiful entrance group, a cozy courtyard and an outdoor swimming pool (after the hot desert, that's what you need!). There is even a spa center.Meals: We had dinner and early breakfast included (we left at 3 a.m.). The dinner was pleasantly surprised — we got to the marine theme, we were given fish and shrimps, everything was delicious. Breakfast is also decent for such an early hour: porridge, yoghurts and really delicious coffee, which is not always found in Tunisian hotels.Cons and nuances:Rooms: It is clear that the hotel is not new. The rooms are "tired" and require updating. But if your goal is just to sleep for a few hours before driving, then it's fine.Drink rules: An important point is that all drinks are paid for at dinner. They are not allowed to enter the restaurant with their own water, they are asked to leave bottles at the entrance. Keep this in mind and take small dinars with you.Verdict: As a long—stay hotel, I probably wouldn't choose it, but as a place to relax in the middle of a long journey through the desert, it's a decent option. Clean, satisfying and with good service at the reception.
