I wouldn’t categorize this as a 4 star hotel, more of a 3 star. Had to contact the concierge service multiple times to get the room cleaned from the previous guests. A few toilet accessories were missing and I called many times to have the toilet restocked. Food and buffet wasn’t bad, the staff was very kind just super slow.

Yesterday we returned to Moscow from Cairo. We stayed at this hotel for a week. I want to share my impressions. The hotel is located near the Giza plateau, a 6-minute taxi ride to the new entrance to the Pyramids (The trip costs $ 15 from the hotel. Probably, if you use any application, it will be cheaper). And if you walk from the old entrance, it will take about 40 minutes. The level of this hotel is five stars, but by European standards it can be rated at three and a half, a maximum of four stars. The interiors in the hotel are a little tired and in need of renovation - slightly shabby corners in the corridors, floors and plumbing in the bathroom, dirty carpet in the room, old furniture. The staff is neutral. The hotel has a heated swimming pool (the water is very warm), near it there is a counter where towels are provided. The main restaurant is located near the lobby, and there is only a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast includes freshly squeezed orange juice, sausages, fresh vegetables, oatmeal and rice milk porridges, grilled vegetables, boiled and fried potatoes, a small selection of cheeses, fruits, dried fruits, jams, honey, pastries, pancakes and eggs with additives. The food doesn't taste super good. There is coffee and tea, I didn't like the taste. We didn't know that there was an all-inclusive meal plan here, so we paid for dinner (the cost is $ 40 per person, I repeat - this is a buffet, plus payment for alcoholic beverages separately). It's not exactly delicious for dinner either, they just add one or two types of fish, meat and desserts. There is an Italian restaurant with Italian and Arabic cuisine, dishes are ordered according to the menu (dinner costs from $ 100 for two without drinks). We tried several dishes, including steaks, they are tough and all the food is not tasty either. There are two more bars on site with a variety of local and imported drinks. Oh, and one more thing - in all receipts for meals and drinks, 26% is added to the cost (12% is the service fee and 14% VAT). There are no other restaurants nearby, and at the entrance to the hotel they ask if you are carrying food. The view from the room window is amazing - we specially booked a room with a view of the pyramids. The room has bathrobes and slippers, liquid soap, shampoo with conditioner and shower gel in large containers hanging on the wall, there is also a piece of soap. The bed, pillows, and blanket are very comfortable. They clean up cleanly. There are various drinks in the room in the minibar, nuts, waffles, chips on the table - all for a fee. There is a teapot, three tea bags, a coffee machine and two coffee capsules, four small bottles of water, it's free. If you need more water, you need to buy it, or wait until tomorrow to replenish it again. There are souvenir and jewelry shops on the territory of the hotel, the prices are high, however, as in all shops at the hotels. There are three ATMs here, the exchange rate is normal. It was my birthday during my stay here, the hotel did not consider it necessary to congratulate😁 The Egyptians think that this hotel is very good. It's probably really good for Cairo. Before visiting Cairo, we used to say about different cities that it was a city of contrasts, but in fact, we only now realized that the real city of contrasts is Cairo! There are poor and dirty areas in it, and there are more or less normal ones. The name of the city comes from the Arabic Al-Kahira - the victor, the year of the city's foundation is considered to be 969, although settlements on this site were long before the foundation of the city - thousands of years ago people lived here. Nearby is the city of Giza, it is considered a suburb of Cairo. Today, the population of these two cities is 21 million people, and it is not known how many more migrants there are. Cairo is the largest metropolis in Africa. In general, ancient Egypt is a mysterious and interesting country and people are always trying to solve its mysteries. Therefore, there are many myths here, they are all different and contradictory, but this makes them even more mysterious. And of course, there are many legends about the creation of the world in Egypt, and here is one of them. And it seems to me that she is the most beautiful - At first there was an endless ocean and there was no sky, no earth, no sun, no air and there was no life and no death. And so it happened that a white water lily flower rose from the boundless ocean of chaos, from which the sun was born. A pyramid-shaped hill rose from the ocean, and this was the first land. Gods were born, and people appeared from the tears of one of the born gods that fell to the ground.

A very pleasant hotel. It is quite close to the museum and to the Giza pyramids themselves. Some rooms, as well as the pool, have views of the pyramids. Reasonable price tag in the bar and room service, excellent and varied breakfasts. I would especially like to mention the staff working in the restaurant, very polite staff, with real sincere smiles! And the girls who complimented me and my girlfriend every day are very pleasant and uplifting in the morning . 🤍
