At the moment, the building itself is under renovation. The station is open, trains are running. The people at the checkout are always ready to help. There is little information on destinations and departures and it is not clear, we have to check with the staff.

Izmir City Railway Station. It is located in the very center of the old part of Izmir. Mercy 9 Eylül, the embankment are within walking distance from this station. On its side there is an entrance to the subway where you can get all the way to the airport.
