The mosque, built by Yusuf faqih, one of the notables of the Fatih period and ni' ma'l jaysten, was destroyed over time and rebuilt by Jafar ağa, the pedestrian. The repair inscription of II Abdulhamit tugrali dated 1899 above the entrance informs that the mosque was revived under the name of "hüdai tekke" on behalf of seyit mehmet nureddin bey.
