Hello everyone! I am 72 years old. I am visiting the Seagull Hotel in Hurghada for the 5th time. I've wanted to dive here for a long time, view the water area (an extensive gerbil with large single soft and hard corals of different colors and shades), even took my equipment and a wetsuit from home several times, but somehow it didn't work out: I caught covid, then herpes came out, then cough, etc. In February 2026, I spat and I only took a diving computer. It all worked out right away and I started diving here. Therefore, the equipment and wetsuit with fins and mask are all from the local PROMASTER dive center. To be honest, I was immediately pleasantly surprised by the condition of the equipment - after all, everything is practically NEW!!!! I'm too lazy to sail a boat somewhere :+and the islands, so I'm diving with a coach here, at the hotel, from the shore. There are no complaints about the equipment at all. I chose the flippers myself, the most worn and soft, blue 41 sizes. They may not be so "cool", but they do not require you to wear shoes with socks and do not rub your foot, the shoes are comfortable and will never fall off your feet by themselves! I've been diving for 5 days now. Once, air was unsuccessfully forced into the buoyancy compensator and it was necessary to drain it a little bit through the lower valve, but this is very rare here in Egypt. For example, in the Bahamas or Thailand, such a trifle is common, and there the barometer can explode at depth. The main thing is not to get angry or panic. Just to ask for a replacement ... I was pleasantly surprised and pleased by the experience of the Diving Guide and coach Bakar. He has been working at the club for the fourth year. He is extremely attentive and patient, trains beginners and swims with "experienced" drivers. Bakar is great with the boys and teaches them how to dive in shallow water! I could easily entrust him with the education of my granddaughters! So far, everything is fine here. Today we swam at a depth of ~18-20m, 45min., saw a turtle, three bluespotted sea eagles, one small sand moray eel and many different tropical fish. The day before yesterday, Bakar pointed out not only a large dark moray eel, but also a large octopus. In general, it's our job to relax and enjoy scuba diving, and it's the coach's job to notice and point out interesting underwater "Wonders" (movable and immovable) and just interesting moments in time, as well as make our diving as safe as possible. I have a certificate up to 18 meters, as a result, they put equipment in where the vest was constantly inflating itself, they hung 10 loads, I always take 8kg, no, take 10, they gave me fins like my size, but the shoe is narrow, as a result, my legs cramped under water, because of the preponderance and the vest that was inflating itself, my dive it turned into a struggle for survivability) on the second dive, I took off the extra load myself, yelled at them, even though they didn't understand anything, they gave me fins where my leg was hanging out, but at least it didn't hurt, it went better, but due to the lack of a Russian-speaking person, I refused the remaining days, the money was returned without problems But they slipped me a bill with something written on it and they didn't take it from my exchanger, they say we need to go to the bank! So think about it, if you are Russian, the instructors speak English with a bang, if anything!
