@It's Me: This sculpture was installed before the Dozhinka holiday. The proposal and initiator of the installation of this sculpture, which was then called "Pivnyak" was yours truly. And it was like this - we celebrated one event (awarding the rank of colonel to Furs Alexander, the head of Rechitsk, and the mayor of the city, Baranov A.V., was present there. At the end of the event, I (at that time I was serving in Bobruisk, the head of the BGROCH) approached Alexander Vasilyevich and suggested using the example of the Bobruisk "BEAVER" to install in Rechitsa some kind of memorable iconic figure . Having studied in more detail the historical essay about Rechitsa (which was given to us by Lyudmila Konovalova, director of the Rechitsa Museum of Local Lore, together with Vladimir Ivanovich POMME, director of the Egret jewelry factory), we decided to propose several variants of the figures, the author of this figure is the Sculptor Alexander LYSCHIK (deceased). At first, they were shown to P.N. Shostak (then deputy.chairman), and then A.V. Baranova was chosen "Pivnyak", (later the author named her "LAVON",) and after coordination with the governor, A.S. Yakobson, it was decided to manufacture and install this small sculpture "Pivnyak", and at the same time I want to clarify that the idea that this should be associated with the Rechitsa brewery, and "Rechitsapo" does not stand sideways to this figure. The fact is, even then, in the 17th and 19th centuries, there were several small breweries in Rechitsa county, and weaving has always been our national craft. So Rechitsa was already a city of fishermen, brewers and weavers, and if you look at the figure, it reflects exactly these facts. (beer mug-fish - woven towel!!!) That's the story of this figure!!!
