While vacationing in China, we couldn't help but visit. The First Market is a very colorful place that is literally saturated with the atmosphere of real street food and local life. There are so many different types of dishes for every taste! Every walk is a real adventure: a huge variety of fresh seafood, fruits, spices, small eateries with steaming kebabs and fried fish. This market is a reflection of the local culture, and it is always interesting to watch how their food is prepared and served. Despite the fact that this is not restaurant food, but street food, we felt very comfortable, especially considering that we were still children. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was full of color and life. This place is a great option for those who want to diversify their vacation with new experiences and try real local delicacies. Sometimes it's worth getting out of your comfort zone and diving into an authentic atmosphere!

First Market, Dadonghai, Sanya The very market where you don't even have to plan anything. You just come in after six in the evening, when the heat subsides, and dive into this life. First you go through the seafood aisles. Shrimps, crabs, lobsters, scallops — everything is alive, moving, waiting for you to choose. Sellers point the finger at the price, you can and should bargain, but without strain — everything is fair here, the scales are equipped with an electronic scoreboard, and the price tag immediately shows how much to pay. Then you choose from a dozen small restaurants around — they will immediately cook what you bought: steamed, grilled, with garlic or in sweet and sour sauce. Cooking costs are inexpensive, starting from 5 yuan per Jin (500g). Here you can also see the jackfruit, the largest fruit in the world. Sellers usually sell it already peeled on the substrates, because carving such a giant yourself is another quest. Then there are rows of fruits. Mango, papaya, dragon fruit, rambutan. You can take it on trial, you can take it away. The main thing begins after sunset — the streets around turn into solid food. Squid skewers, fried shrimp on sticks, Thai rolls, wontons. And the main dessert is fruit ice (bao bing).: fresh mango, passion fruit or strawberries, ground with ice into a thick paste. They say that the First Market makes the most correct one, with the addition of "dragon pearls" — transparent balls stuffed with caramel and red beans. They sell everything around: clothes, souvenirs, tea, coconut candies, even T-shirts for 50 yuan for three pieces, if you look for them. It's noisy, crowded, and smells of fried squid and sweet mango. Sellers are calling, buyers are haggling, someone nearby is eating a barbecue, standing at the stall. It's real.
