I stayed at the Sonnen Hotel in October 2018. I really liked the hotel! I won't write anything about Marmaris itself, because everyone already says a lot of good things about it, and I agree with that! The nature, the air, the sea, the embankment are just a fairy tale! Let's move on to the hotel: Accommodation in rooms: we arrived at night and had to wait until one o'clock in the afternoon, when we were allocated a room, it was hard because you can hardly sleep in the lobby, someone on the plane did not sleep..but this is not a minus of the hotel, but their policy. Check-in to rooms only after 12:00. Food: they're being slaughtered! Just like in 4*! There is always soup, plenty of hot stuff for every taste and color, sweets and fruits. Lots of fresh greens! Delicious salad dressing! Very tasty pasta, potatoes, pilaf, rice, etc.! The dishes are moderately salty. Very few spicy dishes. And the chef always came out to everyone, greeted them, was very polite and friendly. Hotel accommodation: just a fairy tale! It is a 3-minute walk to the sea, we loved to walk to the port and to Icmeler. Of course, it's a long way to Icmeler, but walking along the embankment is paradise! And swimming is very good for those (away from the port) Oh yes, and the most wonderful thing: the bar closes at 22:00 and after 22:00 there is complete silence! It was perfect! Because we walked all day, got tired, and after 22:00 we wanted to sleep. Maybe it won't happen at the height of the season, but in October I really enjoyed it. And for party-goers, there is a bar street, to which a free bus departs from the hotel at 23:00 and returns at 3 a.m. And from the hotel 50% on alcohol in one of the bars. But we didn't visit Bar Street at night. Cleaning: we came in every day, cleaned up, made the bed. The towel was changed 2 times a week (if I'm not mistaken). I didn't really like the wifi She just won't connect to it for dinner. We went to a cafe and surfed the Internet there. As it is, this is a wonderful hotel, I really liked it there!

We had a family vacation in July 2025. Considering that we checked in around 21.00, the reception staff suggested that we go to dinner first, and then check into the room. We had a two-room room with a view of the sea and the pool! The room is clean, modest, but everything you need is there, the air conditioning and TV were working properly, there was a hairdryer in the bathroom, I used it constantly, I was working. Cleaning is daily, the lobby is very comfortable and clean. The food is quite diverse, the assortment was pleasantly surprised, as the hotel is 3 stars and such a variety was not expected. Breakfast always included eggs in various variations (omelette, omelet with vegetables, scrambled eggs, boiled egg), pancakes with various jams, chocolate pastes; various breakfast cereals; fresh vegetables and herbs, olives and olives, dried, pickled, with and without fillings; several types of cheese, sausages, fried sausages (sometimes in tomato sauce, very tasty!), French fries, beans, various desserts (very tasty) and all kinds of snacks. Lunch also featured an abundance of fresh vegetables and herbs, olives and olives, various side dishes (rice, pilaf, grilled vegetables, French fries, mashed potatoes, pastas, pasta, etc.), fish was served almost every day (in several variations), meat in the form of cutlets, meatballs, grilled kebabs, chicken, including simply boiled, soup (one kind, but different every day), snacks, desserts; dinner, as well as lunch, was varied, except for this there were always fruits - watermelon, apple, orange; at 16.00 there were various cookies and cupcakes, from drinks there was a coffee machine (cappuccino, Americano etc.), tea, both brewed and packaged, soda (fanta, cola, sprite and tonic, cherry), beer, gin, vodka and something else (I didn't drink alcohol, I can't say). There are plenty of sun beds and umbrellas by the pool, there are air mattresses, circles and other bathing equipment. The staff is polite, but they are "not friends" with the Russian language, they mostly communicated in English, the waiters cleared the tables quickly enough, and there was a large dining area both in the hall and outside. Before leaving, the room was beautifully decorated and a note was left with wishes for a good trip - pleasantly surprised! Overall, we were very satisfied! Perhaps, in some of the "fours" in the same Marmaris, the service and food are much worse!

We checked in at 22:00, and of course there was no dinner. The room was paid for with a sea view (via t/o +2500 to the tour, on the spot for 10€ per day), at first they gave it on the 2nd floor in the gap between the buildings, in the dark there was no sea in sight. We had to carry our suitcases back to the reception, but this is our omission. In Turkey, you always need to send a scout first 😅 As a result, we moved to the 6th floor under the roof. The rooms are small but cozy. The rooms and the entire hotel are very clean. The air conditioner works decently, although it is not the newest. The rooms seem to have a relatively recent cosmetics update. The food is decent, there is always meat / chicken, fish too often. A standard set of vegetables, fruits (watermelons, oranges), sweets. Coffee from the machine. There are sodas, beer, and strong stuff in the bar. There are always fresh omelets and pancakes for breakfast. The range of cuts and cheeses is small, but they are all delicious. The food is always replenished. They never stood in queues or saw them, they came closer to the middle or before the restaurant closed. The key card is given 1 piece (a life hack, we take any discount card and insert it before leaving, we get a chilled number regardless of our presence). The staff is very polite, nimble, everyone works like bees. The pool is clean, open until 19:00. The bar is open until 22:00. There is no animation, and there is no music in the bar or by the pool. The beach is just 2 minutes away. In the nearest bars, there is a sunbed per order (minimum fresh/coffee /cocktail for 200 lire), there is a shower, the sun beds are decent, the sea is clean enough. The disadvantages are subjective: there are few outlets in the room, one elevator for the entire building with a strange logic of operation. Advantages subjectively: very clean, room cleaning every day. To sum up: a decent hotel for its price, the staff works hard and does their job efficiently, and there is no noise in the hotel.
