An amazing tour of the monasteries of Armenia left an indelible impression! We visited the majestic Khor Virap with a view of Ararat, the picturesque Noravank among the red rocks — each place was mesmerizing with its architecture and atmosphere. Special thanks to our driver: he spoke fascinatingly about local traditions, legends and history — thanks to his light and interesting stories, the journey turned into a real immersion in the culture of Armenia.

The tour left a very good impression. The driver is a professional in his field, drives well and carefully, is a calm and polite person. It was comfortable to travel and communicate with him, he knows Russian well. I liked that there was no rush, the driver calmly waited while we looked at everything and took a walk. You could turn on any kind of music, with no problems at all. The route was Garni-Sevan-Dilijan. First we drove towards Garni, stopped at the Charents arch, there is a very beautiful view of Ararat, a great place for a photo. Then we went to the Garni Temple, the Geghard Monastery and the Symphony of Stones. All the places are really worth going there. Geghard has a special atmosphere, there is a sense of history, and Garni is beautiful and interesting. The symphony of stones looks very majestic, better in person than in the photo. The driver was calmly waiting for us at all stops, not rushing us. Then we went to Sevan. We went up to Sevanavank, there is a very beautiful view of the lake, the place itself is calm, it's nice to just stand there and look around. Then, on the advice of the driver, we stopped for lunch at a restaurant on the shore of Sevan. It was delicious, the prices were normal and the view of the lake was beautiful. After that, we went to Dilijan. The road there is very beautiful, serpentines, views of the forest. We stopped along the way, took a stagecoach corn, took a picture and drove on. In Old Dilijan, we looked at old houses, a khachkar, and the driver told us a little about this place. The area is atmospheric, the houses are very well preserved, there are souvenirs. In the end, we stopped at the Mimino monument and the lake nearby. The place is also beautiful. We went boating, it was fun and wet) In general, the tour was calm, everything was conveniently organized, and only positive impressions remained.

In general, the experience is normal, but there are nuances) - We did not find detailed excursion programs with timings. The program of the trip is described verbally during the trip. - About all the details of the trip and additional expenses (NOT in the pocket of the organizers!) We need to ask questions ourselves. Including whether there will be a guide — as I understand, not all routes involve him. And even if you ask something, they may give you incorrect information (regarding Jermuk New Geyser, they said in the WhatsApp chat that you can't rent a bathrobe, towel and slippers there, but this is not the case) Under the addendum. by expenses, I mean paying for the entrance to attractions (such as the Garni Temple, the Symphony of Stones, the Bird Cave, etc.) - Poor Europeans who take the services of this company — we came across a driver who could only connect a couple of words in English (there was no guide on that trip). Russian Russian is spoken, but the guide's Russian had to be translated into normal Russian a little in his head, sorry)) - Of course, lunch is organized where it is much more expensive relative to prices in the capital or in the region. - Just in case: the use of audio equipment is not implied. The trips were in small groups — in principle, it is not necessary. We made two trips with Ofelya Tour: 1) Garni - Sevan - Dilijan (9,000 AMD/person, not counting the additional expenses; with a guide) 2) Jermuk (Khor Virap - Areni winery with free tasting - Noravank - Bird Cave - Jermuk (swimming pool, gallery with mineral water) - AMD 12,000/person, not counting additional expenses; without a guide (we could have paid 11,000 if there had been a group of 6 people, but in the end there were only 4) In principle, only the Charents Arch was missed along route 1. Due to the clouds, it made no sense to climb to it, since Ararat was not visible. The fact that we won't see much in Dilijan was announced rather late. As it was, everything was fine and according to plan; Arusik is a very sincere guide) On route 2, it's not very clear why the default program has a photo of Jermuk's natural geysers — the driver later said that you can only get there by jeeps. Also, because of the snow, we didn't go up to a certain "dream bridge" in Jermuk, but that's okay. Deviations from the plan are discussed with passengers in principle (however, only with those who understood Russian ...) — if we had rubber boots, we could climb there through a snowdrift)) And also regarding No. 2 (route without a guide): I would like to get a brief reference on what exactly to look at in Khor Virap, for example. As a result, all they got from the driver was "look for me here, you have 40 minutes," and they were guided through the crowds and scraps of information from the guides of other groups. Well, that is, later we were told that Khor Virap translates as "deep pit" and why, but we would like to know this before going to the temple in order to understand that we definitely need to climb into this "pit" and where it is located ((( Also, if the orgies read the review: please tell the driver Samvel that it is uncivilized to throw empty plastic bottles on the side of the highway (we were embarrassed)), and that he puts playlists of AI-generated music on the road, not Russian hits of the 80s-90s... But thank you for offering cognac (free; on both routes) and an umbrella when it started to rain (on route 2)!
