We had a vacation with friends in early April 2025. The hotel's excellent location, hearty but meager breakfasts (scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs with sausages to choose from), a decent swimming pool. That's where the advantages end. We were accommodated on the 3rd floor in an old building. The plumbing was mildewed and dirty, and I had to clean it with my own hands after previous guests. We didn't clean up even once during the week of rest, we had to take out the garbage ourselves. There was a layer of green mold above the refrigerator. The air conditioner was not regulated. The canopies, towels, bed linen, and curtains are dirty and torn. Only toilet paper is available from the toilet accessories. A friend had ants in his room. Maybe we've been lucky before, but this is the worst hotel in Asia we've seen.

My husband and I were on vacation in November 2025 Neptune Bay! The overall impression is very positive. This was our 4th visit to Sri Lanka, so there is something to compare it with. The hotel left a feeling of comfort, care and hospitality. We definitely recommend it to those who are looking for a comfortable place with a good value for money. Location: Convenient. The hotel is in a good, proven location. The beach is across the street, there are no waves, a lively tourist street. Room (302, 3rd floor): · Cleanliness and comfort: The room is cozy and clean. The staff cleaned regularly at our request. We noticed the recent renovation: the walls are painted. · Equipment: There is everything you need: good air conditioning, hot water at all times. The bed linen is clean, we noticed that the pillows are new. · Insects: There were no tropical-specific "animals" (insects, geckos) in the room. An important point: There are mosquitoes, as everywhere in Sri Lanka, so using a fumigator is a mandatory recommendation. Meals: · Breakfast: Standard, but high-quality. Always fresh juice, omelet, butter, jam. The cafe staff is kind and helpful in a family way. For a modest tip, they sliced the avocados and other fruits we bought. · Special attention: The cafe staff showed incredible sensitivity. On my birthday, a cake with candles was solemnly brought out, which became a very warm memory. And since my husband's birthday was on the day of arrival, they also prepared a surprise for him — a fried pineapple with candles. This is beyond praise! The staff is the main advantage of the hotel: · Cafe: The guys are very kind, attentive and ready to help with any requests. · Reception: Special thanks to Shashika, the beautiful girl at the reception. She is always ready to help and solve any issue promptly and with a smile. · The service is generally very human: to change the towels, I just brought them to the counter and asked for new ones — without any problems or hitches. Surroundings and meals outside the hotel: · We recommend visiting the cafe near the mountain where the pagoda is there, as there is also a Russian flag hanging! They cook very well there, and the prices are quite adequate. Please pay attention ‼️ · Noise: If you need perfect silence for your vacation, this hotel may not be suitable. Discos are held here twice a week. Plus: they end at exactly 01:00, which is disciplined. A cool, lively hotel with a soul. It is clear that the owners invest in renovation (air conditioners, repairs) and, most importantly, appreciate their staff, who create the very atmosphere of warmth and care. For us, it was a rest not only for the body, but also for the soul. Thank you for your hospitality!

We stayed at the Neptune Bay Hotel in March 2025. We checked in quickly, helped to lift the suitcases to the room. We had a triple room, and I was pleased with the view of the pool and the ocean. The area is small, but everything you need is there: a comfortable four-poster double bed, a separate bed for a child, a wardrobe, a refrigerator. The plumbing is in good condition, the hair dryer is working, the towels are clean.
