A beautiful sculpture on the square near the Blue Mosque, combines European and Oriental style, a symbol of friendship between the Turkish and German people.

Actually, it's not really a fountain, but rather a column with seven taps. It's a very elegant column, though. A beautiful gift from the German Ottoman Empire. All components are made in Germany, but assembled in Istanbul. But there was a problem with the opening - they wanted to do it for the 25th anniversary of the sultan's reign in 1900, but they opened it only in 1901 for the birthday of Emperor William II. The water is drinkable there, by the way
