An interesting place. The guide named it the 12th-century Queen Tamara Bridge. There are wonderful views from the bridge. After the bridge there are gorgeous vineyards and a restaurant where you can taste wines from these grapes and have a delicious meal. Be sure to visit this place if you are nearby.

The Purtio Bridge (Furtio) is a historic stone arch bridge in Adjara. It is an architectural monument of national importance, recognized in 2006 by a decree of the President of Georgia. The bridge is located on the Adjaristskali River, between the villages of Zamleti and Furtio, in a place called Oshoshman. The length is 13.5 meters. The width is variable, at the base — up to 2.33 meters. The height of the abutments is 3 meters. The bridge is built of flat stones, the pillars are located on both sides of the river on a rocky terrain. The abutments have unique grooves on the sides. There are no railings or other structural elements. It is believed that the bridge dates back to the XI–XII centuries. According to some sources, it is also attributed to the IX–X centuries. The bridge connected the old roads in the Schaltistskali gorge with the central road, and the shortest caravan route to the sea passed through it. According to legend, Queen Tamara passed over this bridge on her way to pray at the Schalti Church. Despite the damage, the bridge is well preserved. In 2006, it was awarded the category of immovable cultural monument of national importance. The Purtio Bridge is part of the cultural heritage of Adjara, attracting tourists with its history and architectural uniqueness.

Nothing special at first glance. It's just an ancient bridge over the river that has survived to our time. Fans of these artifacts will be interested. There is a description of the bridge's construction and history on the information stands. There are a lot of tourists during the day, it will be very difficult to take individual photos. There are shopping malls nearby. I want to warn you here. A little unpleasant thing happened to me. When buying a churchkhela, one price was first announced, and as a result, it unexpectedly increased during the calculation. I paid, leaving it on the conscience of the seller. Be careful when shopping, always check the price tag first. Otherwise, everything is fine. I recommend this place for a short stop and an introduction to the ancient building.
