The Eiffel Bridge is a railway viaduct on the Tsagveri—Cemi section of the Borjomi—Bakuriani narrow-gauge railway. It was built in 1902 according to the design of the atelier of the French engineer Gustave Eiffel, the author of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The construction of the bridge was commissioned by the Romanov royal family as part of the creation of the Borjomi—Bakuriani railway line. Grand Duke Mikhail Romanov commissioned the project from Gustave Eiffel. Start of construction. It began in 1897 on the Tsemistskali River. The components were delivered from France to Georgia in 1902. The installation was carried out by the designer Bessarion Keburia. The opening took place in January 1902. The first cuckoo train passed along the narrow-gauge railway line, as they were called because of the characteristic whistling of the locomotive. The structure is a truss bridge made of iron and steel. The bridge is included in the database of cultural heritage of Georgia. The only narrow-gauge railway in Georgia.

The bridge was commissioned to Gustave Eiffel by the Romanov royal family as part of the construction of the Borjomi-Bakuriani railway line. The bridge components were delivered from France to Georgia in 1902 and installed under the supervision of the outstanding engineer Vissarion Savelievich Keburia, who, by the way, was the 1st aviator of Georgian origin and the 14th pilot in the Russian Empire!

The thin metal thread that connects Bakuriani with Paris ) In what way? exclusively through the name of the great engineer Gustave Eiffel. He designed and prepared the details for the bridge between Borjomi and Bakuriani commissioned by the Romanovs. A train has been running between the two resorts for more than a hundred years, and the narrow-gauge railway surprised with its picturesque turns and postcard views. Unfortunately, the road and bridge have been abandoned since 2020. They are being destroyed. You can only look at Eiffel's creation from the observation deck, which is located slightly away from the asphalt serpentine.
