There is a great authentic Iskele Mola Cafe here. The institution is not represented at all in Yandex maps, and I want to correct this injustice)) I consider such cafes to be "uncombed". Mola is a very simple establishment, but this is its big plus. The interior (if you can call it that) is minimal, but with respect for the local flavor. There's not much room. All the free space is quickly filled with pallets of drinks and boxes of groceries. The view could open onto the Bosphorus, but the room is covered with a film that protects from the wind (perhaps only in some seasons) and the cooks block the view. Everything is prepared here in your presence. And even spinach is washed in front of you)) There is no separate kitchen in the establishment. The cook's work surface greets you right at the entrance. I know that this is not a very selling description, but believe me, it's worth going here)) Another big advantage of this cafe is that a Russian-speaking girl works here who will help with the choice. There is no service as such, but the service is friendly. The small cafe is lost among the popular tourist establishments of the Karakoy area, although there are always visitors here. The location obviously and quite rightly affects the price tag: it is higher than in a residential area of Istanbul, but lower than in many other places in the neighborhood. What about food? If you are looking for a non-European menu and want to get acquainted with simple Turkish dishes that are popular with locals, go here. Well, if you are already familiar with Turkish cuisine and are a fan of gozleme, go here too)) Gozleme - tortillas with filling. This is a traditional dish of Turkish cuisine. Maybe if you've been practicing hotel vacations in Turkey, you've even stood in line for a gozleme)) In hotels, it is not uncommon to find women sitting on low chairs (practically on the floor) and doing modeling. On equally low tables, they roll out thin pancakes from dough, add cheese/potatoes/herbs/meat or a mix of all the above, and fry the resulting tortillas in special saj pans. The dish turns out to be simple, but very tasty and satisfying. I'm sure it will be appreciated by all lovers of pancakes, dumplings, khinkali and other things, which is a thin dough with a filling. I recommend taking several different tortillas for a company and trying everything. And I also advise you to wash it down with ayran or tea)) PS: the geometry and the cover photo are a bit crooked (not mine), so for convenience I'll add a screenshot of the panorama to make it easier for you to find it.
