One of the places you should definitely visit in Doha. Choose the weekend, I bet when it’s crowded it has even more life!

The Mina quarter, which arose on the site of an old fishing village and port, was radically modified for the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar. This is what we saw first and last from the upper deck of the liner on a cruise in the Persian Gulf in November 2025. In the Mediterranean-style tourist area (hence the frequent comparisons by tourists of Mina District with Santorini with its atmosphere of relaxation, eternal celebration of life and ease of being), it is pleasant and comfortable to stroll. Everything pleases the eye here: stylish snow-white and positive multi-colored houses; bright graffiti and murals on their walls (street art in novo-staro port is wonderful!); colorful overlap of streets from the sun; cute restaurants and cafes on the well-groomed embankment, offering excellent views of both the cruise ship and the coastal city the line; the unrealistically beautiful stained glass windows and mosaic patterns of the fish market palace; art shops and souvenir shops. Rubbing a strangely shaped jug in one of them, as if she had summoned a genie and was transported to an oriental fairy tale of 1001 nights.… This place is beautiful in the sunlight, at sunset, and in the evening light, as we saw it when we set sail. It was a great day and a wonderful evening in Qatar.

Mina District is a picturesque coastal area in the old port of Doha, famous for its bright pastel—colored buildings and Mediterranean-style architecture. There are numerous cafes, boutiques and a modern fish market, and the promenade is ideal for strolling with panoramic views of the bay and cruise ships. There is also a Box Park within walking distance, a creative space made of colorful shipping containers.

A very instagrammable neighborhood, built a few years ago for the football championship. It is located on the territory of the old port. This area is considered one of the main attractions of Dukha and is included in the cruise programs of many tour operators. Ten-deck liners are included here. Beautiful little houses, painted in pleasant colors, with picturesque graffiti on the walls. There are many small cafes, souvenir shops, and art galleries here.

It's a nice neighborhood, there's a place to walk and there's a lot to see. You can walk along the narrow streets, or sit on the embankment, as well as buy souvenirs. It is worth going for peace and tranquility, for a walk filled with aesthetic pleasure. And also for the gentle photos that you get after a walk. Not all guards are friendly, so take out your camera for photos carefully.

The excellent quarter was made by the authorities of the city and the country. It is clear that there used to be an old fishing village with cabins and a port here. It was probably from here that dhow boats with pearl divers departed in the 19th and early 20th centuries. But those houses and that port have definitely gone into oblivion. The newly created buildings from the 20th century look more like Santorini. The renovated section has become a real gem of Doha, an attraction for tourists, especially those who come on cruise ships and dock nearby at the cruise port. Transformed into a Mediterranean style, it turned out to be one of Doha's best projects prepared for the FIFA World Cup. There are many cafes, excellent murals on the walls, a gorgeous fish market and a beautiful promenade.

They wandered in by accident, very colorful, colorful low-rise buildings in the Arabic style on the shore. There are many expensive but delicious cafes along the embankment, take a walk, take pictures, even in the evening it is very bright. I recommend
