Greetings to all travel lovers! We stayed at a villa in Methira Villa in early December 2025. I want to say about a very warm welcome (like at home in the country), the spouses Ammi and Dummy are very friendly and helpful hosts! They try to make our stay comfortable and high-quality. Well-behaved children help them with this. The villa is not on the first line, but Ammi always takes you and brings you from the ocean at the appointed time. After sightseeing trips, we came to the conclusion that Bentota beach is great for relaxation - a large sandy coastline, not crowded, there are sun beds, shade and sunshine! A country with interesting flora and fauna, we went with Ammi on excursions to the interior of the island, very interesting and informative (I recommend it)! The villa has a small cozy garden where a variety of beautiful birds sing in the morning, chipmunks (palm trees ) take care of every day, and in the evening the pleasant coolness, fireflies and stars delight the eye. I thank Dummy for the delicious food (the seafood is simply incomparable) and for the comfort in the rooms. The fact that Ammi knows Russian makes communication easier. They meet and escort you by car from the airport and it is very convenient. For those who doubt the choice of a place to stay in Sri Lanka, I advise you to take a closer look at Villa Mathira. I liked everything. The weather is 32 degrees, comfortable, not sweltering heat. Nature is chic, bright colors, lots of flowers, exotic plants, fruits. Very nice and hospitable villa owners. They are responsive and kind. We are always ready to meet, bring, prompt, and negotiate. Dami is a good hostess, you definitely won't stay hungry. The room is always tidy, fresh flowers. The air conditioner is working properly. There are birds, chipmunks, orchids, pineapples, mangoes, cocoa, and many other plants and flowers in the yard. There is a swimming pool. swing, outdoor recreation area. Take a short walk and there will be a street sale of fruits, very affordable for the price tag. The tallest Buddha statue. There is also an elephant at the Buddha Temple. Where you can go and watch her, as well as take a ride and take pictures. There are gorgeous waves and sunsets on the ocean. If you go a little further along the plough. You can enjoy relaxing in the shade of trees, practically without people. Only occasionally passing tourists. The prices in the supermarket and in the markets are very adequate. The cafe is also inexpensive. The hotel itself has excellent dinners, always with seafood. We definitely would not have tried so many types of fish anywhere. There was a new fish every evening. The portions are huge. For breakfast, the standard egg dish always had tea or coffee, smoothies and fruits, and always some kind of national dessert. It was also very funny. In the evening, ice cream was added to dinner. The whole family participated in escorting the guests throughout the day. Thank you very much. I really want to come back again. See the rest of the island's attractions.

Very good hosts and a nice villa. Picturesque area, comfortable rooms. The villa is located next to a large Buddhist temple, it is interesting to walk there. It takes 10 minutes to get to the sea by tuk-tuk, Ami (the owner) and his son drive for free. On the way, you can ask to stop by the shops, look at leather or jewelry, souvenirs. The beach they take you to is great, the waves can be big, but it's very clean and picturesque. I liked the breakfasts, dinners and the service at the villa in general. Wonderful fruits, fresh fruits, seafood. Ami tries her best for her guests and it feels right. A spiritual place for a relaxing holiday. And if you want interesting trips, ask them to take you on a river safari nearby or, for example, to a waterfall an hour's drive from the villa. An unforgettable experience!
