We stayed at the Malibu Hotel, Gagra, Abkhazia from May 14 to May 22, 2026. One of the disadvantages is that there are no safes in the rooms. Everything else is just +++++!!! The wonderful girl at the reception is Albina. She checked us into the room ahead of time at no extra charge, told us the rules of accommodation. Fruit was brought to our room, for which we are very grateful! At our request, the TV was set up. According to the hotel: large comfortable rooms, bathrobes, slippers, 6 towels, cosmetics, tea, sugar, coffee, electric kettle, cups, glasses. We didn't mess around in the room and didn't require cleaning every day, as well as a change of linen after 3 days. The maids were pleasant, they worked like bees all day, and all the supplies were replenished. The lights were never turned off. Hot and cold water around the clock! The pool is clean and warm. A lobby bar with a very pleasant young man who spent the whole day handing out delicious treats to everyone - ice cream, lemonade, fruit, sponge cake, cookies, yogurt. Local chacha and beer for the men. The restaurant is on the 6th floor, the food is not bad, but there was not much variety. We weren't very lucky with the weather, it was sunny for only 3 days, cloudy the rest of the time, cool for the middle of May. I saved the warm pool, we swam every day. We haven't been on a tour, as we visit Abkhazia every six months and have already seen everything. In general, I can rate my vacation at a solid 4, and the hotel at 5! I wish all the staff well and prosperity! 🎀👍🎁🪻🎉🥰👋

The hotel is nice, we live on the second floor, we have a view of the mountains, everything is cool, the food is good, but the presence of cilantro in almost all dishes is frustrating, BUT! The constant shutdown of lights and water is not encouraging, as well as upon check-in, the girl at the reception did not say a word about free sun beds and umbrellas, and about free access to the Ferris wheel, which is located opposite the hotel. We found out about this the day before departure from the hotel guests, it was very frustrating. There are two bottles of water in the room when you check in, if you drink them, they won't give them to you anymore, even if you get poisoned - go to the store for water :) You probably won't get a clothes dryer either, of course, they will tell you that the issue will be resolved, but no one will solve anything) Thank God, there were no problems with the air conditioner, but we also heard that the air conditioner was not working on the 4th and 5th floors.

I want to leave an honest review and warn most people. We had a rest from 12/31/2025 to 01/8/2026 The hotel is new, very beautiful both inside and out. There is a so-called "Lobby bar" on the ground floor. There are many places where you can sit, but from the bar there is only a refrigerator with drinks (wine, cognac, beer) and ready meals (sandwiches, sandwiches), and a price list is hanging. There is also a small children's corner on the ground floor, where there are pencils, markers, uno for children, jenga and children's darts (instead of darts, Velcro balls). There was no animation at all. We had two rooms, one with a sea view (3rd floor), the other with a mountain view (6th floor). The rooms are spacious, new and very nice. However, it was very cold inside. There was a heater and that was it. The air conditioner was not working in the room on the 3rd floor (we asked the reception, the problem was not solved), it was working on the 6th floor (apparently due to the fact that there is a dining room on this floor), we immediately set 30 ° to somehow warm up. There is no heating in the bathroom at all, cold floors, in general, are not very pleasant. When it started to get warmer outside, the room got better. I also want to pay special attention to the lack of water. When we arrived, she wasn't there at all. We couldn't even wash our hands. They asked at the reception, they say there will be water in 30 minutes, but they did not give it. A couple of days later, we realized that there was water after 9, it was given for several hours. She appeared and did not appear during the day. She didn't show up at all in the evening, only after 22:30. Initially, it was rusty and icy, then the situation improved a little (instead of red, slightly yellow water flowed). The situation improved closer to January 6 (apparently, people started working). The room has a mini-bar (paid, of course). I can praise the cleaners. The rooms were clean, bed linen and towels were changed, new jars of shampoo, shower gel and conditioner were put in every day, dirty cups and plates were washed, tea bags, coffee and sugar were always replenished.
