The hotel is beautiful, new, the service is good, the breakfasts are delicious. Everything seems to be fine, but there is an important nuance - the place. There is NOTHING around within walking distance. Maximum - on a narrow road with active traffic (and there is no sidewalk), you can walk to the beach (Bang Tao edge) and the national park in 5-7 minutes. There's also a half-dead cafe. All. No shops, no massages, no places to walk. There is a shuttle bus to Boat Avenue, but it runs from 11 am to 6-7 pm. In the morning or in the evening - only on your own transport or by taxi, which is quite expensive here (from 200 baht to Boat Avenue). Therefore, rest here is definitely not for everyone.

We stayed at Laya Resort for three days when the airline delayed the flight and paid for our temporary accommodation. Since it was a "safety net" option, I got a room with a view of the construction site (the pool was being completed right under the windows during the day). The hotel is obviously new and still partially under construction, but the main area is already operational. A very decent level. Modern design, clean, new plumbing, air conditioning, etc. We got a two-room room on the ground floor (a small bedroom with a large bed + a living room with a kitchenette and a seating area with a sofa and TV). Long balcony with access to the pool. The room has a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, safe, dishes, soft slippers and bathrobes. It was cleaned every day. Tea, coffee, and water were replenished daily. The staff is friendly, they respond quickly to requests. There is a gym, a children's room, billiards, bars, including a swimming pool. The restaurant's menu is not very varied. Delicious coffee in the morning, but no tea in the evening — just boiling water(. The desserts are monotonous, but there are always local fruits. The main disadvantage is the location and the road to the sea. It takes 7-10 minutes to walk to the beach, but it's a real quest: there is no sidewalk, a narrow road, and heavy traffic — it's very disturbing, especially with children or a stroller. There is no shuttle service from the hotel to the beach. 10-15 minutes walk to 7/11. There were no exchangers nearby, and there were only a few restaurants and fruit stalls on the way to the post. About the beach: It's gorgeous and beautiful! But often big waves! It's a strange situation with the passage — sometimes they don't let you take the short way, they demand to buy a ticket, and you have to go around. Bottom line: The hotel is cool, new, clean, with good staff. For "sitting out" a couple of nights or if you're driving, that's great. But for hikers who need easy access to the sea and nearby infrastructure, it probably won't work.

This is our second time in Phuket, and this time we decided to approach the choice of a hotel with a cold mind and a warm heart — we wanted an inexpensive but really comfortable stay, preferably without the smell of dampness, drafts in the forehead and screams from the neighboring bar. For three days we wandered around the island like refugees, changing three hotels and visiting about a dozen more personally. All for the sake of one goal — to find the one that is calm, clean and easy to breathe. I would like to clarify that before our departure to the island, we chose the hotel very carefully for at least 2 weeks, reading reviews on various resources. As a result, we found Laya Resort Phuket Island — and this, without exaggeration, was the opening of the vacation. Finally, a room without stuffiness, dampness and air conditioning shooting in the head If you've been to Phuket, you know that the main problem is humidity and the smell of dampness, which has become ingrained in the walls and air conditioners. And the local designers seem to be playing a secret quest: "point the air conditioner exactly at the tourist's forehead, otherwise the project will not be counted" (I'm talking about air conditioners aimed at the bed, thanks to which you can catch a cold in one night and wake up with a stuffy nose). So, Laya Resort has followed the path of common sense. There is central air conditioning built into the ceiling: it does not hum, it does not blow in the face, it just does its job — it cools and does not interfere with life. There are no musty smells, instead there is a pleasant aroma of new renovation and furniture. Honestly, this is the first hotel in Phuket where you go into a room and think, "Can I just stay here for a month?" 🌿 The territory and rooms are beautiful, quiet, comfortable A well—maintained, green area, several swimming pools, silence and privacy - as if you were in a separate microcosm. The room has a designer renovation of a higher level than you usually see on the island: everything is stylish, comfortable, multi—level lighting (yes, you don't have to get out of bed to turn off the light, lo and behold!). The bathroom has two sinks (the family will understand!), a bathtub, a shower and a smart toilet with a remote control. We became friends so much that we miss him now. The cleanliness is perfect, the cleaning is of high quality, the bed is a fresh cloud. If you find fault, then the design of the shower drain needs to be improved: the water periodically makes noise, as if water lives in the pipes. We just put a towel on the drain for the night — and silence. I hope the hotel will fix this part a bit in the future. Location — quiet, peaceful, secluded (and yes, without hanging out under the windows) The hotel is located in a remote part of the island, and for us it was a plus. No tourist fuss, quiet evenings, birdsong, not music from a nearby bar. Of the infrastructure nearby, there is a 7-Eleven 700 meters away, a cafe a little further away. But if you're driving, everything is perfect. We were on a rental car, and this is the best thing you can think of for such a place. The hotel has a huge and convenient parking lot, which is critically lacking in hotels in Patong, where you often park centimeters between a tree and a bike. It's comfortable, free, and there are no parking quests. , Staff — a separate love I would like to say something special about the service. Yes, we all know that in Thailand, politeness is part of the culture. But in Laya, it's like she's been upgraded to level ten. Employees don't just smile, but sincerely try to help, notice every little thing, and never ignore it. The feeling that the staff is really happy to see you, and not just playing a role. Conclusion: a place where you want to return If you need a quiet, cozy, fresh hotel where everything works, does not smell or irritate, and you are ready to rent a car, Laya Resort Phuket Island will be a godsend. We have honestly compared it with dozens of other options and confidently say that this is the best hotel in Phuket for no more than 350,000rubles per week and above. Beautiful, clean, with a soul. And also with an air conditioner that doesn't try to kill you. Isn't that happiness?
