Cuban charm and hospitality at Las Morlas, Varadero! We had a vacation with my husband at the Las Morlas Hotel in Varadero in late January and early February 2025. If you are going to Cuba for the atmosphere, flavor, rum and incredible ocean, and not for the European five-star luxury, you will definitely like this hotel! We are 100% satisfied with our stay and will definitely return to Cuba! , Territory and Location The hotel is located right on the first line! The territory is small, but very well maintained and green. The location is very convenient: just a 15-minute walk (or a short taxi ride) to the central Calle street, where all the shops and markets begin (we recommend Calle 36 at Junior for a profitable currency exchange!) and bars. ,Room Facilities and Service We were greeted very friendly and with a welcome cocktail at the reception! 1. The rooms are old, and some really need renovation. But they have everything you need for comfort: an ironing board, iron, hairdryer, safe. The nice thing is that the phone charger is plugged into the local outlets without any problems. 2. Daily cleaning, towels were changed every two days. We left small presents for the cleaner, and in return she delighted us with creative installations of towels – very cute! 3 **Wi-Fi** is available, but it "crashes" periodically, and you need to update the access code at the reception. But sometimes it was possible to catch the Internet even on the beach! !!! Special thanks to the hotel manager! The girl manager (if I understood her name correctly, Yordanka) is a real smart girl. She promptly helped us with the room change and even arranged a wonderful gift for her husband's birthday! Such service and care are worth a lot.!!! , Food and Bars The food, like everywhere else in Cuba, is monotonous, but we had enough. Yes, there are problems with supplies (sometimes there were no eggs, flour or bread), but this is a Cuban flavor that you need to be prepared for. 1. Dinners by appointment: You can sign up at a restaurant and get the same as in the common room, but with waiter service (I especially liked the salads!). 2. Night snacks:Near the beach at night you can have a snack with mini burgers and sandwiches. 3. Bars and drinks are a separate delight! Rum and cocktails flow freely for every taste. Be sure to visit the lobby bar: the male bartender prepares the most delicious coffee! Champagne (Cava) was also available. * **Life Hack:** Take a large thermocup to the beach! It is very convenient for beer and cocktails. ,Beach and Entertainment The hotel's beach is clean and very beautiful. In the morning, a tractor drives by, harvesting algae. There are enough deck chairs, there were enough for everyone. Towels are provided and can be changed daily (just do not lose them, there is a fine for loss!). ,Animation and leisure:The staff tries to surprise! Almost every day there were themed lunches/dinners near the ocean (Russia Day, Cuba Day, etc.) with songs, dances and even retro cars! In the evening, there will be a show or live music. The program is repeated once a week, but there are always more positive emotions than negative ones. Travel Tips 1. **Thermocup:** Be sure to take a large thermocup for the beach! 2. **First aid kit and Protection:** There is a shortage of medicines in Cuba. Be sure to take fumigators, mosquito sprays, and medications "just in case." 3. **Currency:** Take cash dollars or euros. The most profitable exchange rate is at the street market (for example, Calle 36 at Junior). 4. **Communication and Excursions:** Be sure to subscribe to public posts about Cuba on Telegram. There you can find profitable excursions (Havana, Matantas, Cienfuegos, caves, farms), rent a car, as well as buy cigars and alcohol with delivery. 5. **Relationship:** You need to go to Cuba for the atmosphere and ocean. Don't pick on the details at the hotel – enjoy the Cuban flavor! Bottom line: Las Morlas is a hotel with friendly staff, stunning ocean views and all the delights of Cuban life. We will return to Cuba again!🤍💪

The first day at the hotel. We were greeted with champagne and live music. The hotel is generally empty, everything is kind of intimate....! There is no one in the restaurant for breakfast at 8.30! In the morning, freshly squeezed juice: pineapple, papaya, watermelon. Nuggets, amlet/scrambled eggs, cheeses and sausages are all in Spain, seasonal fruits are so-so... You won't stay hungry for lunch. Grilled fish/chicken fillet every day + marmites with beef, etc. I really liked the grilled burgers!!! I didn 't think I 'd ever write about it at all , but MINCED MEAT IS LIKE GRANDMA 's WiFi from the hotel takes you to the sea

We had a rest in December 2024. Great hotel! Exceeded all our expectations. We were so scared by the "dead " rooms and the lack of food. Fortunately, everything was fine. They placed me in a room immediately, and at my request they gave me a room on the second floor.By the way, very soft mattresses, fresh white linen.Of course, you can find fault with nutrition - soups are usually over-salted, the meat is tough, but ice cream is very tasty for lunch and dinner. In principle, there is a choice and we didn't go hungry. The bartenders in all the bars are very friendly and happy to pour whatever you order. I wish the animators would work more actively. We were not very lucky with the weather - it was stormy and people wandered in anguish between the bars. But in general, we are very happy with the rest, and if it were not for such a heavy flight, we can come again.
