I was there once with my family. It is located in the Trodos mountains in the vicinity of Paphos. The road there is heavy, winding, serpentine, mountains. Beautiful area. The monastery is painted inside. There are many icons, and you can add relics to them. I bought myself an icon of the Kikka Mother of God there. It helps in many ways, especially for the seriously ill. The atmosphere feels salty. You can submit notes in Russian. We were told that there is a priest who knows him, so we can

One of the main attractions in the western part of Cyprus, at an altitude of over 1000 meters. The Orthodox monastery, which is more than 900 years old, with the famous icon of the Mother of God of Cycka, painted by the Apostle Luke. In addition to the Temple, there is a museum with works of art from the monastery treasury and rare books. Rich decoration, beautiful frescoes. Literally everything is worth exploring.

We were here with my husband in August 2009, but the memories of this trip are still alive! It's a very beautiful monastery, and the energy is amazing! There was a queue for the icon of Our Lady of Kykkah, but it was moving fast, everyone was just kissing and asking for something. If you don't want to kiss the icon, you can attach your own cross. The monastery is famous for its income, there are steamboats, diamonds and oil wells. This is felt because everything is kept in perfect condition. We bought a small incense there and the guide advised us to put a cotton wool with consecrated oil in it, which was given by a monk. It's in a plastic bag and with you! When something hurt, we would draw a cross for her in that place and everything would really go away! I don't need pills either. And so we used it for 5 months, until it dried out. The road to the monastery is difficult, serpentine, but the beauty is extraordinary. We passed olive groves, trees with ripening bergamot and figs and a mountain reservoir with piercing blue water, they say there are 1000 such reservoirs in the mountains.. I definitely recommend visiting. We really enjoyed it.
