We were in May 2025, and we broke out spontaneously, The site was scheduled to launch in the morning, like at 11. at 5 a.m., we took the train from Haikou, 30 minutes by high-speed train. Then we traveled by bus for more than an hour to the observation area. The bus goes directly from the train station. Access to the cosmodrome site itself is only for residents of mainland China, foreigners will not be allowed there, there is a separate park with an observation deck, and it is even better to book a room in Wenchang itself, having determined the view in advance. You can also watch from the beach. We arrived at a park 12 km from the cosmodrome where there are viewing areas. In the park itself, admission is free, but you pay for being taken to the observation deck. We advise you to take a ticket, as it's decent to walk there in the heat. The reception said that the launch was postponed, but since everyone speaks Chinese, we did not understand anything, we decided that the launch was postponed for an hour, at 12:15. For example, at 11:30-12:00, people gathered on the observation deck, park workers arrived, presented roses, treated watermelons and water, played songs and took pictures of supposedly lovers. We were given gifts in the form of a book and something else for agreeing to be photographed. We thought, since the people have gathered, that's it, there will be a launch. Although they warned that they were often postponed. We waited until 1 p.m., it was very hot. We haven't eaten since five in the morning. And then a girl who speaks English came up to us and explained that the launch was only in the evening. In the end, we left with nothing. After that, we also found out that we had messed up everything, and the rockets were launched at GMT, not local time. Many websites do not specify this. The observation deck itself is ordinary, the rockets are visible, but they are tiny.

Being on Hainan, it is impossible not to go to the spaceport! So we bought train tickets and rushed from Sanya to Wenchang. They called a taxi and drove off. The driver was very happy that we are from Russia and want to see the cosmodrome. He started showing us video clips of launches and so on. When we arrived at our destination, he said that the launches were not taking place here, that it was a prop and took us to the real cosmodrome. We went to the ticket office to buy tickets, and they told us that it was only for Chinese citizens.))) That's the story, but it's very beautiful there!)
