The colonnade is really incredibly beautiful: bright, elegant, as if it came off the pages of old postcards. You stand next to it and immediately feel this special spirit of the place, a mixture of history and resort charm.But the impressions were greatly spoiled by local "businessmen" with birds. Every now and then they come up with hawks and skinny vultures and literally try to put them on your shoulder or even on your head, and then they start aggressively shaking the money. It's not just intrusive — it's frankly unpleasant and spoils the whole atmosphere.The beauty of the colonnade deserves a calm, respectful attitude, not such pressure. Overall, the place is amazing, but be prepared for this intrusive "service."

Built in the Moorish style, the opening took place in January 1956. The number of columns - 45 - corresponds to the last two figures of the year of the end of the Great Patriotic War. The colonnade is one of the most famous sights of Abkhazia, featured in several films.

A beautiful and iconic place. The restoration was super-done, there's nothing to complain about. Everything is clean and beautiful. We were with the family and everyone really enjoyed it.
