The main thing for big stadiums here in Qatar is the roof! There is no football without a roof. That is, in December and February, of course, you can play during the day, but all other months it is hot on the field, and it is simply impossible to sit in the stands under the sun without shade. This stadium has the largest roof in Doha. It covers more than 70 percent of the stands! During the reconstruction for the World Cup, when the number of seats for spectators was increased by two and a half times, an innovative cooling system of the stadium was installed, which works very efficiently. At the same time, the stadium looks very compact. However, football matches are very rare here after the World Cup. Naturally, there were no competitions when we arrived here.
