Keshighat is the main ghat of Vrindavan and one of the most important places of worship in Vrindavan. This is the only ghat that is still visible as a remnant of the ghat tradition in Vrindavan. It was built by Queen Lakshmi Devi of Bharatpur in the late 17th century in the Rajasthani architectural style According to legend, Krishna was chosen by all the divine powers to kill his maternal uncle Kansu. From the moment he was born, Kansa tried to do everything to kill the child who was supposed to destroy him. So he sent various demons to kill Krishna, and one of those demons was the giant demon horse Kesha.
