This is not the first time we have visited this church. And every time the frescoes and stained glass windows with biblical themes are impressive! The church looks very much like a mosque, but the domes are decorated with crosses that have an unusual shape, like snowflakes (or, as the guide said, they are made in 3D). There are lion statues as a symbol of Christianity. The building itself is snow-white, light and seems to float in the air!

A beautiful temple. We've been there twice. For the first time with an excursion, we told a lot of interesting things about the peculiarities of the Coptic religion and the temple itself. The second time we came on our own, we wanted to visit this beautiful temple again. It was surprising to me that there were no candles in the temple itself - there are no candlesticks that we are used to, nor places with sand like in Catholic churches. They were placed in the sand in front of a fresco located on the street opposite the entrance to the temple. But there seems to be some other special place.

The real pearl of Sharm El Sheikh. Coptic church with beautiful stained glass windows and exterior decoration. We definitely need to go and see. It doesn't matter in the afternoon or in the evening, the guide's story about the difference between Copts is very interesting. It is located in the area of Hai el Nur - there are many Christians living around. The access regime has been very mild lately. The Coptic church of As-Samayoun is simply stunningly beautiful. Especially when you go inside the temple and see everything with your own eyes. I recommend everyone to visit. According to many, the Coptic Orthodox Church is one of the most interesting architectural sights of Sharm el-Sheikh. It was built very recently, in 2010. Interestingly, the parishioners themselves collected funds for its construction and the building turned out to be really impressive both in size (the temple is not inferior in size to the central mosque of El Mustafa) and in interior decoration. Externally, the Coptic church looks very elegant, the snow-white building seems to float in the air. The Muslim influence is clearly visible in its architecture, but the crosses on the domes clearly indicate the Christian affiliation of the temple. Inside, the walls of the church are covered with the richest murals and mosaics – two local artists have been working on the interior for two years. As in all Coptic churches, prayer benches are also installed inside this church. The church looks especially impressive at night, when the generous lighting is turned on – it is simply impossible to pass by and not notice such beauty! Due to the constant pressure and hostility from the Muslim population of Egypt, the Coptic church in Sharm el-Sheikh is surrounded by a high fence, next to it there are several checkpoints where police officers are constantly on duty. The temple is open to all visitors, and photography is allowed inside.
