During our trip to Istanbul, we decided to stay closer to the main attractions, so we chose the small SultanHill Hotel. First of all, the location is really great. Everything is within walking distance. You can immediately feel the spirit of the city here: in the morning you open the window, and tourists are walking downstairs and you hear the muezzin inviting you to prayer. But this arrangement has a disadvantage! We also woke up with the first prayers... And Loki, our cat, became a real star of the hotel — the owner and administrators of the hotel enjoyed him every day, as if he were their pet. Everything is thought out here for a full stay: every step leads to history, architecture, and museums. The breakfasts were served on the 1st floor in a buffet style. Everything was delicious and satisfying, but every day the dishes were monotonous and without hot. That is, they do not give porridge or scrambled eggs, but an omelet for an additional 80 lira. As for the cons: the room itself is very small, there is not even a place behind the bed to walk around it. There was also no bottled water or toiletries in the rooms. The slippers were provided only on the first day of arrival and after the first cleaning, they were disposed of, but they were not given new ones (we lived for a week).

The location is great, the hotel is very cozy and clean. The staff is very polite and pleasant, they suggested what and where to find, advised a restaurant with delicious food, the nearest supermarket, treated us to real Turkish coffee, A wonderful breakfast, everything was very pleasant!!!! And the coolest feature of this hotel is the 24/7 outdoor rooftop terrace with views of the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Marmara. A lot of seagulls come to the terrace. We would have come back again))

The hotel is nice, clean, the linen is new. There is free water. The breakfasts are modest, but you won't be hungry. Right outside the mosque, loud prayers at night. Go relatively close to the metro station and tram T1. The area is expensive, there are no particularly cheap cafes. We found a cheap one only closer to the train station, near the burger king. The street is busy, which runs along T1. And where the hotel is located is quiet. But, for relaxation, that's the thing. The mosque near the hotel has a square, a fountain, benches, and a cozy time to spend. If you want to make noise and get to the Galata Tower quickly, choose an area closer to the train station near the T1 stop. I liked the hotel, but in my opinion it's too expensive. It's only because of the central location that the price is so high.
