Excellent basic hotel in the heart of Dusseldorf Doria Hotel is a very convenient choice for a short trip to Dusseldorf. It is located in a quiet area of Pempelfort, but Königsallee and the old town are only 10-15 minutes away on foot. The staff is very friendly, explained everything, helped with the map and recommendations for restaurants. The rooms are small, but clean and cozy, nice shower, comfortable beds. There is no kettle/coffee in the room, but this is a small thing. The breakfast is good, with a variety of breads, cheeses, sausages and fresh produce. The only negative is that there may be noise from the street, especially if the room faces a busier side, but overall this is a pleasant, inexpensive and very conveniently located hotel. I recommend it for a business trip or a shopping tour.
