What a mess! A lot of cheap and tasty fruits and vegetables. Also you can buy some local meet and chicken. But the condition of the ancient interiors and the street stalls, combined with the loud noise and hustle, might put you off.

Great selection of traditional Armenian stuffed dried fruits. Prices are reasonable for the quality and not high anyway. Sun dried peaches stuffed with sweet walnuts are great, as well as pomegranate dried juice with nuts. Just try it and you will understand what I am talking about.

My friend wanted to buy dried fruit. He told the seller that he only had 3000 drams, and the seller said "Okay, we will pick dried fruit that will cost you around 3000 drams". But then he kept offering dried fruit plates for 5000 or 6000 drams. When my friend told him that he doesn't have cash, the seller said he can pay by card. When he said he can't pay by card, he offered to take from different banks, then crypto, then offered a trade, then offered my friend to take a loan from the bank, then he offered my friend to sell his soul to the devil and pay him that, then he offered my friend to pay for the dried fruit in 5 interest-free installments, then offered to gift him the dried fruit, and to take his first born child later. He fed us a lot of dried fruit. Nice guy. Though he did promise a discount and didn't give any. Life is full of disappointments, but in GUM you will at least be well-fed.

A great place to shop for goodies. There are dried fruits, wine, cognac, basturma, and many more. The price tag is charged, but you can safely bargain. Very friendly sellers - they all give it a try. We enjoyed our visit very much

It's a great place! That's where you need to start exploring Yerevan) There are delicious Armenian delicacies and the very Armenian hospitality. As soon as you enter the market, they try to treat you with their goods from every counter. It's better to come here hungry, and when you leave the market, you won't want to eat soon. The dried fruits here are fabulous, they taste like fresh fruit. Homemade cheese, homemade vinishko, delicious basturma.. You need to buy a separate suitcase for gifts from Yerevan.

A pleasant market with a large selection of food and edible souvenirs for tourists. I can't figure out the price, but the product is high-quality and fresh. The pleasant smell of spices and foods makes you want to walk, examine and taste. We bought dried fruits and cheese as souvenirs for ourselves and our loved ones. Everything was packed with high quality and the seller put dried apples in the free space in the box as a gift. Another positive point is that the market is located within walking distance from Republic Square.

Despite visiting the market in April – the fresh fruit season is still far away – we were fascinated by the variety and colorfulness of the pyramids of local housewives made from dried fruits and nuts. Meat and fish stalls, pickles and coffee beans, wines and cognacs, cheeses and vegetables.. They treat everyone and abundantly. We ate and drank so much and bought so many things that we had to take a taxi back.

We went to buy dried fruits, they are really delicious there, but the prices are not cheap, something is a little cheaper than a supermarket, something is even more expensive, I will write what we were told on May 26 - 5000kg persimmon, 3000kg churchkhella or 1000 per piece, assorted stuffed fruits 7000kg, 2000 frucella per pound, dried tomatoes 4,000 pounds. There are no complaints about the quality, nor about the weight (the containers turned out to be even slightly more than the stated weight). Where they sell vegetables, the prices are concretely made up out of your head right in front of you, sometimes consulting with colleagues in Armenian) 1600 tomatoes (at that time in the supermarket 1000), a bunch of basil 400 (in fairness, a big bunch), so the main thing is to be careful with the prices, and so everything is delicious

The market is for tourists, locals go to another market, but nevertheless you can buy high-quality local products: dried fruits, spices, cheeses and meat delicacies. As well as drinks and sweets, all the sellers speak Russian, they give you food samples, they are friendly and welcoming, I recommend you to visit, but yes! Take the cash

A large market. There are a lot of local sweets at the entrance. They immediately try to capture you and give everything a try. Everything is very tasty. A little further on, pita bread is sold, and at the other end there is a cheese row. Lavash is very tasty, the cheeses are salty-for an amateur. If you go through the entire market and go outside, you will find another smaller building. There are vegetable and fruit stands.

The local Soviet-built bazaar. Outside you can buy live fish, sterlet, crayfish and poultry. Inside there is meat, basturma, very tasty national cheeses, dried fruits, churchkhela, various wines and stronger drinks, fruits, coffee, etc. Everything is very tasty. There is a "but", they give all the food to taste with DIRTY hands. You can bargain, but you can't lose much. The service is not intrusive, but sometimes they get drunk if they have tried a lot, but bought little. Try dried persimmons and tomatoes, I recommend it!

It's a great place to buy dried peaches and tomatoes stuffed with nuts, honey and dried apricots. We also take sets of strawberries in sesame seeds, barberry with pomegranate and orange with saffron. We take basturma from the meat, just drop off the head, they give us absolutely everything to try, so we try and take it as a gift to our relatives.

A very colorful location in Yerevan. The largest grocery market in the city. Here you can find everything: various sweets (from classic churchkhela to various fruits and dried fruits decorated with nuts), alcohol (homemade wines - peach, apricot, cherry, blackberry, grapes; wines with excise stamp from local producers, cognac - from classic to delicate almond), various cheeses, fresh meat and fish. The sellers are very warm to tourists, they treat everyone! You can pay in cash, and somewhere they accept bank cards (even like MIR), we even managed to bargain. I have a very pleasant impression of this place! I advise everyone to visit

Ooooh, this is heaven). You can't come there full, everyone is ready to treat you to something). My husband even had time to taste local alcoholic beverages there. Fruit prices are not affordable, of course), but dried fruits and all this wonderful yummy stuff are just fire. Walnut "black", just a cannon, a bomb, a firecracker! All the sellers are very friendly and sincere!

We came to Yerevan for a vacation with a big family in July ‘25. Part of the program was to visit this market. We really liked it. Each seller gives a taste of their products, if they bought from another, no one was offended and certainly not rude) The Armenians are very friendly, they adore children) our people were fed to the brim there. We bought wine sealed with us at the airport and homemade to try at the hotel. Very tasty and varied. We also bought almonds in dried cherries as souvenirs and small pomegranates with wine, pomegranate juice, basturma, sujuk, churchkhela. We went here twice during the two weeks of rest.

Time will fly by unnoticed here, you should not go here before a scheduled lunch or dinner, because while you will try everything (and you will try everything!), you will be fed just to the brim. Sellers really don't just give you a try, they feed you directly :) A few kilograms of delicious food were taken away from here, if someone is looking for something to bring from Yerevan, run here :) Don't bring magnets, bring sujuh :)

Excellent market in the very center of Yerevan, a huge selection of dried fruits, sudjuk, basturmas. If you go through the large pavilion, there is also a small pavilion with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs both inside and outside. There is also a meat and fish trade along Khorinatsi Street, there is a chilled Dilijan loin (meat with a long rib) 3300 drams, lightly salted trout caviar 1500 drams, rudd (wild trout) 2000 drams, sturgeon 4000 drams. Prices are high on the market, but they give you free samples to the brim (you can figure out what you want, go to the district markets and buy cheaper). In any case, I definitely recommend you to visit!
