February 14
We were here from 04 to 14 February. Yes, the breakfasts are of the same type, but satisfying. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach, and in the evening I recommend taking a flashlight with you. The hotel is located far from the center, which makes you sleep in silence, listening only to the animals behind the balcony. I can confidently recommend this hotel.

April 13
We arrived in Sri Lanka on February 23, 2026. The trip from the airport to the villa took about 2 hours. The bus left us on the road, before turning into a narrow street where buses would not fit. They met us on a tuk-tuk right off the bus and took us to the villa, about 700 meters away. We arrived at the villa at night, we were the first to arrive, and we were immediately offered to move into a new building for a small surcharge. We agreed. We were immediately settled. The room has a nice bed, the air conditioner worked well. The furniture is not new, not very clean, and there are ant tracks in the bathroom. The sliding doors to the balcony also left much to be desired. The sheets and towels are stained, I asked them to change, they changed, but there are still stains in some places. In the morning, I opened the doors to a beautiful view from the balcony of rice fields, cows graze, herons, peacocks run. I'm not writing this because I had any complaints, no, I knew about what would happen. It's just that the reviews say that everything is fine. Yes, we were satisfied with our stay at the villa, but we are not picky, I am writing this for those who expect cleanliness, new furniture, etc. from the villa. None of this is here. But the atmosphere was good, the staff was helpful, and in the morning there were only birds and chipmunks, plus you could sleep on a comfortable bed not next to the road. Anyway, the next day we were asked to go to a room in the old building, because people were booking in the new building, and they were accommodated in the old one. Anyway, we swapped numbers. The money was returned to us, of course. The room in the old building is no worse than in the new one, the only thing is that there is no private balcony, it is shared and panoramic doors. There is no safe in the rooms, we left the money in a suitcase with a combination lock, nothing was missing. There is also no refrigerator in the room, but you can use the shared kitchen. Our room has never been cleaned, we should have asked for it, we didn't ask. In general, it feels like a guest house in Anapa. For breakfast every day, sausage, toast with butter, pancake with jam, some fruit and an amlet or scrambled eggs if desired. We ate too much. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the villa to the beach, it's to the beach with waves, and where you can swim is Turtle Beach, you can also walk to it, we walked along the beach once, it's a long time. I downloaded the app and we called a tuk-tuk through it, it arrived quickly and we mostly drove to the beach. The cost is not high. For rubles, 90-120 rubles to the beach with turtles. We had lunch and dinner at the Red Lobster Cafe, which is located next to Chernpashkov beach, and there are liquor stores, fruit shops, and plenty of other shops nearby. There is also a fruit and vegetable market nearby. For some reason, it is more expensive to buy fruits at the market than in shops. You can buy seafood at the fish market and they will cook it for you there. But we thought that it was cheaper to eat in a cafe and tastier. I booked the tours in advance and paid for them with a card in rubles, but they didn't take them from the tour operator. The prices are about the same. You can order a lunch box for the early evening tour, it will be left in the refrigerator, there will be one boiled egg, two bananas and toast with jam. In general, I recommend the villa, but not to demanding tourists.

A real corner of paradise with a caring atmosphere We spent unforgettable days at the Green Edge Villa and were absolutely delighted! This place is ideal for those who are looking for a quiet, cozy vacation away from the noise, but within walking distance from the sea. Accommodation: Initially, we booked a standard room in the old building, but upon arrival we decided to pay extra and move to a new building — and we never regretted it! The view of the rice fields from the window is simply amazing, it is incredibly picturesque and peaceful. The room has everything you need, including air conditioning. The transparent glass wall in the toilet seemed unusual, but this is solved with the help of curtains. Regarding humidity and dampness, this is a common feature of the Sri Lankan climate, you just need to accept it, your clothes will dry for a long time. Meals: We ate half board and never went hungry. The food is very tasty and satisfying. The hostess personally clarified our wishes for dinner, which is especially pleasant. The breakfasts were excellent: omelette, pancake, toast, fresh fruit and juices. Special thanks for your attention to our child — they often cooked for him separately, without spices. There are a lot of cafes within walking distance, and we always found something new for lunch. Territory and service: The territory of the villa is very well maintained and green. You wake up in the morning to birdsong, peacocks, herons, ladybirds, chipmunks, and all kinds of birds walk near the territory all day, and in the evening you fall asleep to the chirping of cicadas. At the same time, you can't hear the noise of the road at all — complete relaxation. The pool is clean, with comfortable sun beds (the water is not heated, but in the heat this is only a plus). The owner and the manager speak excellent English, the staff is very friendly. We communicated with the rest of the employees using a couple of words and a Google translator (Sinhala), but there were no communication problems. Beach and surroundings: The sea and a wide sandy beach are about a 5-7-minute leisurely walk away. The beach is magnificent, clean, spacious. The waves were big, but it was safe to swim. As for walking, you need to be careful: there are no sidewalks, and traffic is active. There are many cafes, shops and souvenir shops in the direction of the center of Hikkaduwa (which can be reached on foot). A nice bonus: We had two birthdays during our vacation - my husband and my son. We were fully provided with a birthday cake, music, and decorations for a nominal fee (about 5,000 in local currency for the purchase of necessities). We were absolutely delighted! Bottom line: We definitely recommend the Green Edge Villa for couples, families and anyone who appreciates tranquility, nature and personal care.
