There are two routes to the monastery: through the forest, this is the right route, and along the partially destroyed steps, the left one. One way you can walk through the forest, back through the steps. Be careful if the weather was rainy before your visit, it will be wet and how much, the forest is quite dense, the ground does not have time to dry out. Given that the road goes up, you need a hook and a holder, it will be quite problematic, but fun :) Regardless of which route you choose, both will lead to the finish line, a fairly steep staircase. After climbing these stairs, you will find yourself near St. George's Cathedral. There are magnificent views from there, but since I came when it was already evening, and there was a strong wind, the clouds did not allow me to fully enjoy the local scenery, it is better to come in the morning.

It's a very picturesque place! Physically, it's hard to get to him, but it's worth it. It is located 1,500 m above sea level. Beautiful and high, it takes your breath away! I recommend it! P.S. instead of the chains that we used to climb, we have already made a good metal ladder.

When you arrive at the place and get to the top, be prepared for this (photo). We were unlucky. The fog cleared when we got back. We need to study the weather. The path to the top is difficult. Although my grandmother would have argued with me in age and body. When I saw her at the top, I got a jaw drop. And so. It's muddy and slippery in wet weather. Definitely NOT in skirts, sandals, or tank tops! The stairs are wooden, broken with stones. Maybe they'll be repaired someday, but for now, you'll literally have to climb over their remains, and on your hands and feet. There is literally a chain in one place and you need to crawl by grabbing it (we keep it in your head, grandma could do it). There seems to be another or other paths, but according to the map on your car, the road leads to the described conditions. However, if the weather is clear and you're ready, it's worth it.
