The village of Gorepani, 2,874 m, from where the track goes to the famous Poon Hill site, to the giants of the eight thousand meters. As I climbed higher and higher, I wondered when the end of these damn stairs would come, which in half a day were so exhausting that there was no end in sight. And when you pass through the gates and see the blue stone houses. The powerful streets and the smiles of the merchants make you feel so ashamed of your weakness, because these people walk these kilometers every day and don't complain. The view from above is simply amazing, surrounded by mountains. The hotels here don't heat up, but they do provide a lot of blankets. Our hotel was at the very top, where the trek to Poon hill started. Entering it, the first thing you did was rush to the stove, around which the Sherpas were resting, such a buzz, a warm stove, tea with lemon and ginger, and you're ready to move on. They gave me the best room on the mountains, of course, the cold in the room is like in a cell, but everything is saved by a hot shower, which I don't want to get out of at all, by the way, hot water is also a luxury! The funny thing is the locks on the door, the bolts are like in a barn, we still don't understand from whom and for what, but it's reliable!
