Galeries Lafayette is a French department store chain founded back in 1893. This is probably their smallest store in Qatar. Small, of course, compared to others. Part of the Qatar Plaza shopping center. The main goods here are luxury goods, gold, jewelry, perfumes, expensive clothes, and so on. The pseudo-classical French, if I may say so, pompous architectural style of the building sends us in advance to France, and specifically to Paris during the time of Baron Haussmann. Inside, everything glitters, shines, but one misfortune - there are no people at all. Our family were the only visitors in the large complex.

The closest location to our hotel was the Galeries Lafayette Doha shopping center, which is located immediately at the exit of the Katara metro station. As always and everywhere, there is a huge selection of cosmetics and perfumes on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor, I bought pants and a baseball cap from the Stella McCartney brand, since there was a special offer here until 3/04, when buying for 1000 QAR, a 20% discount was offered. There is a large selection of premium children's clothing available. After shopping, you can have a cup of coffee at the interesting design Cafe Pouchkine. The best time for an aesthetic visit to Galeries Lafayette Doha is in the evening, but not during the fireworks, when crowds of onlookers gather here. IMHO

A very interesting and beautiful place, An air conditioner is installed in the floor on the street. Even in the heat it is comfortable and interesting. Lots of cool locations and shops. Beauty!!! 😻
