There are many fountains in Minsk. This fountain in the center of Independence Square is found in guidebooks under various names "Fountain "Belarus", Fountain "Capital", "Storks" and even "Fountain of Independence". When we arrived in the summer, the jets were pleasantly refreshing, the fountain was still not working at the beginning of April. This is a dome fountain (one of the glass domes of the underground shopping center), in the center of the fountain are three storks flying up (a symbol of family and loyalty). The coats of arms of the regional cities of Belarus are around the fountain. Since our last visit, the storks and coats of arms have changed color (they were bronze), now they have been repainted, and they look worse.

A very impressive fountain! It appeared on Independence Square in 2006 and has since been considered one of the business cards of Minsk. Storks flying over the dome are symbols of freedom and independence. The coats of arms of the 6 administrative centers of the Republic of Belarus adorn the Stolitsa fountain along the perimeter of the dome. The spray from the 700 jet shimmers in the sun, and in the evening the illumination transforms the fountain, which also has musical accompaniment. The place is ideal for walking and taking photos, besides, there is a large shopping center under the domes on the square.

There is a very beautiful fountain in the center of Independence Square. The whole complex is well thought out. Everything is in place. the bronze color is very well chosen. It's almost red. It was necessary to choose the metal composition like that! Three beautiful graceful storks take off from the center of the fountain dome, which is also the transparent roof of the hummock center located below. And along the perimeter are the coats of arms of the regional cities of Belarus. So the fountain is also informative! Bravo to the architect and the sculptor! In some sources, the fountain's name is the Capital.
