The hotel used to be (apparently) cool, but now everything is falling into disrepair. There was no hot water in one room, and it was cold in the other. The sinks in the rooms are cracked. The TV channels are going badly. We didn't go to breakfast, I won't say. The guys at the reception are nice. Location: 2 stops from shimbulak, 3 stops from medeo, close. We were skiing, so it mattered to us. The price is 3-star quality. If you want to save money, you can come, but don't expect too much. In conclusion, it is possible to spend (like us) a week here without commuting from the city to shimbulak.

It's a beautiful building from the outside, and inside there are common rooms for the royal chambers. It was once luxurious. The room is spacious and has a high ceiling. The furniture is old and dilapidated.. But the biggest disadvantage is the smell of mustiness or poison from cockroaches, they still did not understand. I had to sleep all night with the window fully open. The staff (administrator) is well done, caring, good-natured.

I want to share my impressions of staying at the Edelweiss Hotel, located at the foot of the mountains near Medeo. I stayed here during a short trip to Almaty and was very satisfied. First of all, I liked the location: a quiet, picturesque place, not far from the city center, but at the same time — fresh air, silence and stunning mountain views from the window.
