This is our seventh vacation in the Maldives and I think that the experience we have gained in island resorts allows us to give a fairly objective assessment of this hotel. The first trip to the Maldives in October 2022 took place in an atmosphere of complete delight, and there were objective reasons for that.: the hotel itself, the food, the level of service, the ocean – it seemed that nothing could be better. And now there are only fond memories of that trip, but as we get to know other hotels, it becomes possible to more objectively assess both the pros and cons of all the Maldivian hotels where we managed to visit. It is important that in our cases it has always been a full-fledged 10-day vacation, rather than express tours, which allows you to get acquainted with all the features of the hotels. At the moment, Dusit Thani is the leader of our seven by all criteria. Villas. Since we had already played around with water villas and realized that this was not our format, we only considered beach villas so that we could rest in shallow water. We chose a beach villa with a pool in front of the villa (Beach Front pool Villa 301-318) because, according to reviews, there is a convenient access to the water and our expectations were fully met. In my opinion, the most comfortable villas are from 308 to 318, since in front of villas 301 to 307 there are water villas that block the ocean view, and the entry of these villas is worse. Also, not far from these villas there is access to the reef along the Thai restaurant located above the water to the right of the villas. Also, in our opinion, beach villas 101-110, located next to the residences, have a good access to the water. The villas are quite private, each with its own fenced courtyard with lots of greenery. Bicycles are attached to each villa, but we've never used them since, because there's nothing better than walking barefoot along the island's interior paths among the tropical trees. The villa, the courtyard, the quality of cleaning, the mini bar – everything is excellent. The pool is big enough, we had breakfast in it once and swam a couple of times))), why do we need it if there is an ocean nearby. Sun beds both by the pool and on the sand are closer to the ocean. Cold champagne and fruits will be waiting for you when you check into the villa. Restaurants. There are 4 restaurants on the island. The Market (buffet) is open for breakfast and dinner and three a la carte restaurants (Thai, European and vegetarian) are open for lunch and dinner (reservations are required). All the restaurants are excellent, with a large selection of dishes, despite the fact that we do not eat meat and poultry and, accordingly, our choice was limited for ten days, there were no problems with variety, and I wanted to repeat many dishes. Thai and vegetarian are located in the same building above the water at a distance from the shore and the ocean view is amazing. The service was top-notch, giving the impression that the waiters of each of the restaurants were fighting for visitors. We were constantly persuaded to come to their restaurant and book our own time. And as a rule, you will always be served by the same waiter, who after a while will already clearly know your preferences both for the table and for drinks)). Sincerely for the excellent service to the waiters Ahmed from Market, Obbs from Benjarong, and the bartender from Upali. Unfortunately, I didn't remember all of them. I will not dwell on the food, it is excellent both in terms of assortment and quality, both on the buffet and in the restaurants on the menu. Benjarong had the most delicious lobster we've ever tasted in other hotels. Special thanks for the dinner on the beach that the hotel gave us for the wedding anniversary. Entertainment options include a home reef, a trip to manta rays, and swimming with nurse sharks.

Dear travelers! My review is for those who are considering their vacation at the Dusit Thani Hotel in the Maldives, Baa Atoll, Muddu Island. I must say, the hotel leaves a very pleasant impression. So, in order. After passing through all the controls at the airport, the receiving person from the hotel was found on the Dusit Thani sign. He turned out to be a friendly person, quickly checked us into Maldives Airlines and wished us all the best. We were transported to the local airport by minibus. The lounge of the Dusit Thani Hotel is located on the second floor of the new building of the local airport, it turned out to be quite comfortable. The wait for a local flight was only an hour, which is very fast by Maldivian standards. Since there were 12 people on the flight to Dusit Thani, and the plane can accommodate 15 people, our flight was direct, without check-ins to other hotels, and took only 30 minutes. There will be an hour and a half with arrivals. You have to be prepared for this. The meeting at the hotel was very warm and joyful. We were greeted by a lot of people, including the hotel's general manager, a Frenchman, who was very positive and friendly. Each family is provided with its own butler. We had Evelina, a pleasant Russian girl, who helped us solve various problems. The family villa we booked was very pleasant, large and spacious, with a wide piece of shore. Ordinary villas have very narrow access to the shore. The hotel belongs to Thais. The hotel is twelve years old. The rooms are a little tired, the plumbing needs updating. The room has a refrigerator, iron, bathrobes, slippers. There is a coffee machine, capsules, tea, kettle, four bottles of water. There's coke, juices, and beer in the fridge for free. Wine is in the wine cooler for a fee, alcohol and snacks are in the right drawer for a fee. The room has a high-quality Boose music system, which can be connected via the Bluetooth of a cell phone and a TV. If you want to use the hotel's beach bag, it's for a fee, and you can pick it up after use. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, efficiently. The air conditioner was working fine, and there are fans on the ceiling. There are 103 villas on the island, with a maximum capacity of 210 guests. 23 villas on the ocean, 30 villas on the water near the shore, 50 villas on the ground. The island is large, 600 meters long, 300 meters wide. It's huge for the Maldives. In the mornings in the Maldives, I like to walk around the island along the shore. This cannot be done here, as the villas on the water along the shore prevent it. Well, okay, but we cycled around the island several times a day. There is a kids club, but for some reason there were almost no families with children here. The contingent: there are many Chinese, Koreans and Japanese, more than half of them, as well as English-speaking Europeans, Indians, Egyptians and a few Russians. The hotel staff is very friendly, everyone always says hello to you everywhere, tourists also say hello to each other, the mood here is positive. The hotel has three restaurants, the main one on the shore, on the south side of the island, is called the Market, there are breakfasts and dinners, a buffet. The all-inclusive catering concept additionally includes a la carte breakfasts and a QR code on the tables. Themed dinners are served every evening at the restaurant. Two alyakart restaurants with ocean views: Si Grill (European cuisine) in the west, which turned out to be the best food for us, and Thai Benjarong (Thai spicy cuisine) in the north. They only have lunches and dinners. There is a dress code: you can not wear swimming trunks and tank tops without sleeves. We liked the food, good breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There are a lot of tropical fruits for breakfast, mango is delicious, in Alaska there are also fruits in the evening, ice cream and the night ocean. At the Sea Grill restaurant, we were always served by the waiter Gerald from Sri Lanka, very friendly, positive and attentive to the guests, he learns Russian. Gerald is the best waiter in this restaurant, definitely. We are very grateful to him for our evenings spent in this restaurant by the ocean. In a Thai restaurant, a very good waiter from the Maldives, Ishag (Isaac), speaks excellent Russian, who learned it himself by ear, was always glad to see us. It was very pleasant to communicate with him. I respect him and thank him very much for his cheerful disposition, respectfulness and positive attitude. There are two bars on the island: one next to the Sea Grill restaurant, called the Sand Bar, where you can sit and watch the sunsets, sometimes a duet sings in the evening, live music. Another Sala bar is on the second floor of a Thai restaurant, where there is always a fresh sea breeze. If you want to tip a specific waiter, it won't work, they go to the general cauldron of the service team. There is free lawn tennis on the island, there are massages at the SPA for $ 200 per massage plus 60 taxes, there is a small gym, it works around the clock. Bicycles are attached in front of the villas, and everyone on the island rides them. You can call a buggy, but it's a long wait, so everyone either walks or rides bicycles. Comfortable. Each bike has a license plate with the villa number, your bike is always with you. When leaving the sea, each villa has a shower and a foot water faucet, very convenient. The sea, as always in the Maldives, is magnificent and turquoise. The reef stretches around the entire island. Entering the ocean only in flippers or coral slippers, otherwise you will hurt your feet. Great tides. You can download the Fishing Points app and watch the tides through it. It really helped us every day. At low tide, the safest place to snorkel is on the beach near the Market restaurant. And if someone wants to go into the ocean just to swim without coral slippers, then there is a sandbank behind the Sea Grill restaurant. You can take fins, masks, and snorkels for free from the diving center. A young man from Egypt, Mahmoud, who speaks Russian well, works at the diving center. Corals in the Maldives are slowly dying due to ocean warming, mostly the coral color is gray. But there are a lot of fish. Every day we swam with turtles, which live either to the right of the Thai restaurant when viewed from the shore, or to the left and right of the diving center. Turtles are big, they are not afraid of people. You can safely call this island Turtle Island, there are a lot of turtles here. We saw a shark, it swam past quickly, probably scared. We saw a huge moray eel sitting in ambush in the coral. There are no manta rays or manta rays here because there are no large sandbanks. The weather in the Maldives is changeable in November. It sometimes rains at night, and it can be heavy, which makes the air saturated with oxygen and easy to breathe. Without rain, it's hard to breathe in the heat here and the humidity is hot, like in a sauna. Salvation is either in the ocean or in the shower. Our stay at the Dusit Thani Hotel was wonderful, and we were satisfied. How can you be dissatisfied with a vacation in paradise? Maldives is a paradise on earth! I want to come back here again and again. Choosing a hotel is always your choice. I wish you all a good rest and unforgettable impressions.
