I was here in March. The condition of the tracks is quite decent, but the ascent to the top point did not work for technical reasons. It is possible to rise only to the level of about 2300. In my opinion, the service here is at a zero level- cafes are not working, everything is closed, there is absolutely no information on resorts- it is unclear which lifts are working, which are not. Prices are low overall compared to Gudauri. The roads are in terrible condition-huge pits every 10-15 meters, it's better not to drive a regular car. It's pretty dirty everywhere on the road, probably because of the spring. There are no basic facilities for walking such as sidewalks, everyone walks along the road, there are not even ski turnstiles for skiers near the ticket office, I'm not even talking about ski storage, etc. And yes, the most important thing is to be prepared for the fact that every self-respecting local policeman will check you for alcohol in a car with Russian license plates, and in my opinion there are more of them on the roads of the village than ordinary cars.yesterday I started counting and in 10 minutes I counted about a dozen of them. They behave rather rudely, they don't smile or even introduce themselves, they immediately stick the phone in for a breath, which is in stark contrast even with their Russian colleagues. In general, it seems that no one is seriously involved in the development of tourism here, as in Gudauri. At one time they were given money, they built a lot of apartments without infrastructure and forgot about the service, like everyone would come anyway. In general, my recommendation is this: you need to come with a large company to have something to do in the evening, if you don't drink a drop by car, the tracks are decent and there aren't many people, the level of difficulty and the region is more of a family resort. In summer, you can walk along the slopes, but again, do not go high, because they say that the grazing flocks are guarded by serious dogs and severely bitten by some foreigner last year. The locals are quite friendly to Russians. So think for yourself, I would say the resort is ambiguous in terms of service, but it impresses with its cheapness and lack of people.
