We probably wouldn't have gotten here on our own.🤔😊 But we had a guided tour of Venice, and that's what brought us here.😊 Admission costs €5 per person. There is an elevator, no need to walk up. The church is located on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore (the Main one). There is a bell tower and an observation deck at the top. Venice opens up like in the palm of your hand. You can take beautiful photos. You can get here by vaporetto (local water transport). It is better to buy a full-day ticket, it costs € 25, but you can ride, go out wherever you want, and so on all day.

Just 10 minutes by vaporetto from San Marco Square and you are on another island of the Venetian lagoon - San Giorgio with the cathedral of the same name (since 1566). The island is small, the cathedral is beautiful - all white inside and outside. The island has been known since the time of the Roman Empire, then there was a Benedictine monastery here - which was closed by Napoleon. Now everything belongs to the Diocese of Venice. The view from the bell tower (there is an elevator) is breathtaking. I recommend it!
